Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V February 11, 2014 -- 4K Media Inc. debuts the newest generation of Yu-Gi-Oh! -- Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V -- at the Kidscreen Summit on February 11th. The company is responsible for the global brand management, broadcast and digital sales of the new series outside of Asia. The team shares its vision for the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand with a special sneak preview of the new series “where dueling comes to real life.” Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, set to premiere this spring in Japan, will introduce fans to Action Duels, where characters and monsters interact for the first time ever. The newest star, Yuya, is a 14-year-old boy learning to become an “entertainment duelist” at one of the many Preparatory Schools children attend to hone their skills and become professional duelists. Yuya duels using the Pendulum Summon, which provides access to many high-level monsters. “4K Media and its Japanese partners continue to invest in the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand with this new production,” says Kristen Gray, senior vice president operations, business and legal

affairs. “The introduction of Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V as the latest entry to the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise will further fan engagement and excitement for the brand.” At its heart, Yu-Gi-Oh! was and remains a story about friendship, and striving to be your best. Each series carries the same theme told through a different story and setting. For Yu-Gi-Oh! Classic, the action travels back in time to ancient Egypt; Yu-Gi-Oh! GX takes dueling to school; Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s kicks dueling into overdrive; Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL takes the action out of this world, and now Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V brings dueling to life. The Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise is currently in its 12th consecutive year of broadcast in the U.S. and most major markets worldwide. The series and brand continue to captivate children, particularly boys, through its best-selling trading card game, animated series and motion picture releases.
