Taekwondo – the 1300-year old martial art originating in Korea in the second half of the 20th century developed into a modern combat sport and has even been introduced into the Olympic Games.

Today there are 40 million people actively involved in various aspects of Taekwondo, such as recreation, self-defense, competition sport, discipline of the spirit and lifestyle.

The history of professional Taekwondo has scheduled to begin on 17th November, 2007 in Zagreb. Taekwondo, in line with all the other great sports, is to establish its professional system - Pro-Taekwondo.

All the fighters at the Zagreb tournament are to appear in the heavy weight category
