: 1. i) Dr.G.C Debnath, DDGM visited Training Centre Kolkata PAC Salt Lake on 01.06.16 regarding Evaluation of Training Programme and prospect of covering syllabu ii) Dr. G. C. Debnath, DDGM was on inspection tour to MO Balasore on 02.06.16 to visit Observatory & DWR site Balasore. iii) Dr. G. C. Debnath, DDGM attended AMO Kolkata on 07.06.16 for inspection. iv) Dr. G. C. Debnath, DDGM attended meeting on 16.06.16 with Hon'ble Mayor, kolkata for discussing on Forecast of Weather and expecting rainfall in the ensuing monsoon 2016 and preparatory measure taking to removal of water logging and to combat flood during the period ensuing monsoon. v) Dr. G C Debnath, DDGM attended meeting on 17.06.16 with Hon'ble Minister in-charge at Jalasampad Bhawan Salt Lake regarding Flood preparedness during the ensuring monsoon. vi) Dr. G.C.Debnath, DDGM was on tour to FMO Jalpaiguri from 19.06.16-21.06.16 to attend Hindi Parliamentary committee inspection. vii) Dr. G C Debnath, DDGM attended a talk show at Doordarshan kendra Kolkata on 28.06.16 conducted by Disaster Management named "Durjog Mokabila" on Subject Lightning and generating awareness among community.

viii) Dr. G C Debnath, DDGM was on tour to Pune from 29.06.16-01.07.16 to attend Brainstorming meeting on lightning network expansion over NE India and foot hills of Himalayas.

2. 1. Sh. G.K. Das, Sc.-D, delivered a lecture

to the Disaster Management Officers, Govt. of West Bengal on “Tropical Cyclone- Genesis, Evaluation, Tracking, Intensity Prediction and Warning Dissemination Mechanism” at Administrative Training Institute, Kolkata on 2nd June 2016. 2. Sh. P.K. Mandal, AM-I, has participated in a planning conference for Coastal Security Exercise ‘Hamla WB-01/16’ organised by Coast Guard & Govt. of West Bengal at Nabanna, Howrah on 24.06.16.

Visited Gunupur Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Rayagada district to start DAMU under GKMS during 26.06.2016 to 28.06.2016. j. Attended meeting of the state level committee on natural calamities at Secretariat , Bhubaneswar on 29.06.2016.

4 (i) Ms Mamta Yadav, Sc-B undergone competency assessment training during 20th to 22nd June 2016 at New Delhi. (ii) Ms Mamta Yadav, Sc-B participated in Crop Weather Watch meeting in the department of Agriculture, Govt. of Odisha on 27th June 2016.

5. i) Shri A.K. Sen,Sc-E attended a meeting of Crisis Management Group (CMG) of Bihar Govt., Chaired by Hon’ble C.M of Bihar on 22nd June and made a brief presentation on current weather situation and prospects of S.W. Monsoon of this year in Bihar, in the meeting when all District Magistrates of the state were in video- conference mode (ii)Meteorological briefings were provided for Landing / take off of aircraft withVVIP on board at Patna Airport on 24th and with VIP on board at Gaya Airport on 18th June 16.

: RMC Kolkata Adverse weather SMS warnings are sent through mobile to all State Govt. Officials, Disaster Management Officials and Other Central Govt Organisations on real time basis.

MC Bhubaneswar (i) Mobile numbers of state government Officials

and other disaster related officials are sent to CWD, IMD New Delhi.

(ii) SMS for adverse weather are sent through mobile to all users.

(iii) Daily forecast along with warning and city forecast for 16 cities are disseminated through email to all users including state authorities, electronic and print media.

(iv) Nowcasting based on DWR products of Kolkata and Visakhapatnam and CTT of IMD site are, disseminated to all users including SRC, OSDMA, concerned collectors and both electronic and print media.

All the sections of this office are running smoothly with the existing limited number of staff and officers which are much lower than the sanctioned strength.

6.2. NON-AVIATION:

i. Forecasting:- a) Day to days Point Forecast of Temperature and Spatial Weather Forecast and warning of Severe Weather Parameters for five days over GWB, SHWB & Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Bay of Bengal and High seas of Indian Ocean under its jurisdiction and its updating in Websites in real time

basis and its dissemination to various GOVT./ NGOs/ AIR/TV/ Press/Media. b) City/ Tourist Forecast over West Bengal c) Now cast d) Press and Media briefing in real time basis by Director, ACWC Kolkata / DOs, as and when required.

ii. PPT(Rainfall, its Spatial & Intensity) and NOWCAST of scheduled twelve stations and its verification and updating in ‘’METNET’’ website & e-mailed to NOWCAST Division, New Delhi and City Forecast of fifteen Stations of West Bengal and its dissemination in real time basis. Precipitation: Collection, Preparation and Dissemination of station wise Daily Rainfall data, Preparation of district wise rainfall data under Daily Rainfall Monitoring Scheme (DRMS) of three subdivisions under its control , were sent by FAX / E-mail to : a) NHAC, New Delhi and DGM (Hydrology) New Delhi. b) DDGM (WF) Pune, LRF Pune and NCC, Pune and all concerned. c) Monthly surface climate broadcast data issued to ADGM ®Pune by M.C.PatnaDDGM (WF), Pune

iii. District wise weekly and monthly rainfall data were sent by E-mail to:- a) DDGM (H) New Delhi, b) ADGM ® Pune, c) Agrimet, Pune, and d) DDGM(WF) Pune and all concerned. Preparation and updating of daily weather report and weekly weather report and its updating in websites .

iv. Communication:- a) HPCS & MFI server are working satisfactorily. b) WRF model output is being utilized for forecasting point of view. c) Weather Reports were sent to various Govt. and NGOs. d) Disastrous Weather & Extreme Weather events reports were sent to RMC

Kolkata respectively for the month of May 2016.

v. Port Met Office: - INCLI Message for April 2016 sent to DDGM (Marine) Pune .

Activities: On every Tuesday and Friday, district level ensemble forecast of NHAC downloaded from imd.gov.in website and value added forecast along with realized weather were sent to AMFUs in this state and M.O. Port Blair (value added forecast sent in excel format that is being downloaded from the moderated report generated by farmers portal). Also online moderation of district level ensemble forecast for WB and A&N Islands done in NeGPA (Govt. of India) software module named as farmers portal. After receiving district wise advisories from each AMFUs, Composite English Bulletins were issued on every Tuesday and Friday & Bengali Bulletin on Wednesday. The composite bulletins are uploaded in imd.agrimet.gov.in along with value added forecast(moderated forecast) on the date of their issue for display in the website .This unit also sends weather forecast and warnings by SMS to farmers through mKisan portal. Work done by SRF posted in SAMC, Kol. during the month of June’16 – Data arrangement for the coming Crop yield forecast of West Bengal M.C. Patna Medium range weather forecast for 38 districts of Bihar issued and disseminated to AMFU’S on every

Tuesday and Friday

8. जल मौसम विज्ञान (HYDROMETEOROLOGY) :

8.1 FLOOD METEOROLOGY

1.. Weekly Hydromet data in respect of Gangtok & Tadong sent to Agrimet, Pune regularly during

the month.

2. Weekly Rainfall Statistics in respect of all four districts of Sikkim sent to Sikkim State Disaster

Management Authority, Gangtok Agrimet, Pune regularly during the month.

3. Daily and weekly rainfall statistics of Bihar State computed and sent to H.Q regularly.

4. District wise Weekly Actual / Normal / Percentage of departure from normal with updated Rainfall for the month of March 2016 of Sub-Division of Odisha was supplied to DDGM (HY) New Delhi / ADGM ( R ) Pune / RMC Kolkata by M.C.Bhubaneswar 5. Weekly Flood Situation Report for the week ending on 02.09.2015, 09.09.2015,16.09.2015, 23.09.2015 and 30.09.2015 was prepared and was sent to DGM ( Hydrology) , New Delhi / FMO Hyderabad / RMC Kolkata by M.C. Bhubaneswar M.C. Patna (i) Daily and weekly rainfall statistics of Bihar State computed and sent to H.Q regula (ii) Daily rainfall data of different stations have been received and recorded in the register (iii) Weekly rainfall summary of Bihar generated on every Wednesday sent DGM(Hydromet) & other users. (iv) Rainfall data of Bihar for March’2016 updated on 21st April & sent to DGM ( Hydromet ) New Delhi & destinations (v) District wise cumulative rainfall of Bihar upto 25th April’2016 generated and sent to DGM (Hydromet) New Delhi and other designations FMO Asansol: (i) 0300 UTC, 0600 UTC, 0900 UTC and 1200UTC Surface observation have been taken during the month. (ii) Sri K.Ghosh, S.A attained mkrain software training at New Delhi on 26.05.16 & 27.5.16

9. रेडार मौसम विज्ञान (RADAR METEOROLOGY) :

1. Doppler weather radar Kolkata was operated round the clock.

2. DWR Kolkata generated raw data at 10 minutes interval was disseminated to central server, New

Delhi, and to Nowcasting system server at ACWC Kolkata in NETCDF format.

3. DWR Kolkata observations were disseminated to the respective users on routine basis and uploaded

to IMD New Delhi and RMC Kolkata (ACWC) websites at every 10 minutes intervals.

4. Radar was serviceable at M.C.Patna throughout the month.
