• On Nov 19, 2012 Cisco announced the intent to acquire San Francisco-based Meraki, a leader in cloud networking.

• Meraki technology offers customers on-premise networking solutions including wireless access points, switches, routers, and security appliances that are centrally managed from the cloud.

• Meraki’ flexible and easy to use cloud networking solutions extends Cisco’s existing range of enterprise network offerings by providing scalable solutions targeted at mid-market customers.
