Testosterone is needed to assist in male puberty, such as lowering the voice pitch, growing taller, growing facial hair ect.
It also provides stimulus in sperm production, also called spermatogenesis, throughout the males life

When the testes produce little to none of their hormone (testosterone), it is called hypogonadism.
This leads to loss of quality of life, and has lead to many failed marriages.
It also has negative effects on vasculature, brain function, and metabolism. As these are all connected to the testosterone hormone.
