Go Dog Sledding in New England! Dog sledding is a popular activity in New England. Whether you are a serious enthusiast or simply looking to try something new, there are many opportunities for recreational dog sledding. Most simply allow you to go out and ride in a sled while an experienced musher drives the

team of dogs. In some instances, you may be allowed to mush under supervision. These rides can last from a little as a half an hour, to multi-day adventures. There are also many sled dog races held in New England in the winter months. Sled dogs generally can pull their own weight, so a typical team of 8 dogs can happily pull between 360 to over 500 pounds. They love to run and pull and can do so all day with proper conditioning. The dogs can climb steep hills and zip through twisty wooded trails – which is the essence of a dog sled tour. Sled dogs are very healthy, live long lives, and can work until they are 12

or older. Peak athletes are between 3 and 8 years old. Enjoy the outdoors and a dog sledding adventure this winter! See the map below for Dog Sledding Kennels and locations!
