    see on your excerpt of The Miracle Worker.

    You will take notes on your paper.

    The stage directions in your excerpt are in italics.

    Example: Section 1 will be completely highlighted.

    We will break into groups of four to read the drama.

    Each group will need James, Annie, Kate, and the narrator.

    If your group only has three people, the person reading James will also

    be the narrator.

    The narrator will read sections 1, 9, and 36.

    The stage directions do not have to be read, but they should be

    performed in your readings.
