MARCH 2017 NEWSLETTER
FROM THE MANAGER’S DESK
Greetings Ponds Residents,
As you know, I am new to The Ponds and to South
Carolina. In my three short weeks here I have
already come to appreciate the beauty of the south,
and in particular, The Ponds. I have had the
opportunity to meet many of you but look forward
to getting to know each one of you better in the
months to come. I am very happy to be here and
believe I made the right choice relocating and
taking this position. We have a wonderful team
here at The Ponds which includes Kolter, and with
each other’s help I believe we can make this an even better place to live and play than it already is.
Thank you to everyone for making me feel so
welcome. I look forward to the year ahead and
promise I will do my best for you!
Sincerely,
Krista Dorris, CMCA, AMS

Covenants Corner
Greetings Ponds Residents,
Spring is here and it’s the perfect time to start thinking about needed maintenance on
your homes. While driving the neighborhood we’ve noticed some homes in need of pressure washing or painting and some mailboxes are in need of cleaning and or
paint as well. A fresh application of pine straw or mulch/chips is also needed this time of year. Please take a look at your home
from the street to see if everything is in order. If you are painting you home the same color, you do not need DRB approval. If you are thinking about changing the color,
DRB approval is needed.
It’s also that time of the year when many of you will want to make improvements to your
yard, add a patio, fence, etc. All of these changes will require a DRB form be submitted for approval prior to making any changes.
The DRB meets on the third Thursday of each month, and all meetings will be posted on the calendar. You may obtain the required DRB approval form on the LandArc.com website or
you can pick one up at the Farmhouse. If you have difficulty logging onto the website or have never registered and need
assistance, please email Kirstel Gibbs at [email protected] and she will be happy to send you instructions to register and sign in. If you need help with your
submission or have questions regarding your application Kirstel and I are always happy to assist.
Sincerely,
