1. English Ability: Competent command of spoken and written English, which corresponded to: TOEIC 740, TOEFL(ITP/iBT/CBT) 550/80/213, IELT 5.5, or other English certification that is equal/similar to the above.
2. GPA: A minimum GPA of 2.30 from the previous year’s GPA.
Students in the PARE Program will participate in lecture and discussions in
English, so the lack of English proficiency is a disqualifying condition for participation.

9PARE Core Subjects 2014/2015“Introduction to PARE (I) (II) (III)”

Work on a single theme by forming groups with students from different countries and disciplines
Three (3) credits are awarded. The school will be held twice a year (Spring and summer) for two weeks each. The school involves lectures, field work, group discussion, group presentation
and report submission. Faculty members from the seven universities perform joint evaluation to decide
on grades. All attendees vote for the best presentation group.

The PARE Scholarship for
“Summer School @ Hokkaido, Japan” & “Comprehensive/Specialized Subjects in Hokkaido University
① Scholarship: JPY80,000/month② Period: Maximum 1 year③ Traveling Cost: a) A round-trip ticket between an international airport from Sapporo and Yogyakarta/Jakarta/Bangkok b) A JR return ticket between Sapporo and Hakodate (for student studying at Graduate School of Fishery Science in Hakodate)
In case applicants take the PARE Summer School 2014 as well as Comprehensive/Specialized Subjects from October 2014,
the period of program supported by the PARE Scholarship will be from Tuesday, 26th Aug until the end of completion of comprehensive/specialized
subjects , and the ticket will be provided only once.
