I am most satisfied with the fact that all of my teachers knew me by name and if I ever had a question, I knew that I could go to their office and they would assist me.

CSM provides a more personal educational experience then larger colleges/universities. The instructors are very approachable and usually available. They seem to genuinely care about seeing us succeed. CSM provides a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

The nursing program is difficult, but looking back, it is worth it every step of the way. The curriculum doesn't quite make sense at first, but it all comes together during final term.

I am most satisfied about the attention that I received from my professors and advisors while I was at CSM. Knowing they care about how well/bad the students in their class helped me to realize I was important for them and the rest of the CSM community. I feel that everyone was overly friendly and welcoming to me since the start. The chance to be treated fairly for having a child while going to college.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Women Author's class with Dr Bauer - English has never been one of my strengths, but that was an enjoyable class. I also was surprised how much I enjoyed the Field Work Experience and how much I was dreading it before hand.

I think that the younger newer clinical instructors who still work on the floor had a lot of information to offer students. They knew what was going on on the floors currently, not 20 years ago when they were a nurse. They also were familiar with all of the new technology and were computer savvy.

I like the small-school atmosphere. It was very conducive for the nursing learning environment where you need to be able to communicate with your professors and instructors.

How friendly and helpful the instructors are.

The complex nursing semester, both theory and clinical, was the only semester that I feel I actually learned new things since I already had my LPN. I feel the teachers in the complex theory and clinical rotation were wonderful. Jennifer Kolker was the most amazing clinical instructor and taught us so much, she really sought out new learnign opportunities for us. Psychology (Marcy and Anna) theory and clinical rotation and pediactrics (Kathy) theory rotation were also great. Colette was a great instructor as well, however, I did not really learn anything new from my LPN.

I love the small campus atmostphere where the majority of the staff know you by name and we are allowed to call our instructors by their first names.

I had a couple of very friendly personable instructors. They were nice but professional and did not play favorites or try to be our best friends. Virginia Tufano was amazing, Christi Glessman was good, and Lori Delcore was very professional. Kathy Schufeldt was amazing, perfect mix of professionalism yet treated us like human beings!

Being able to living on campus with my children and have the college experience.

The staff could be more helpful in regards to financial aid help, career placement help, and advisor help. I felt I was not helped very well in these areas.

Leave the classes in Lincoln, Nebraska. I feel so sorry for the students that have enrolled and to be put in this horrible situation. It always seemed like the Omaha Campus did not care for the Lincoln Campus and to me it seems like the move to the Cotner location was a way to get rid of the Lincoln Campus. It is very disheartening to see the Lincoln campus leave. This campus helped a lot of students and now they are put in a stressful situation. No matter how hard you try to make the move, it still leaves the student in a very difficult situation.

Having a mentor who will really support and guide as graduation approches and seniors start job search.

Make the students feel like they are going to be sucessful in the nursing program instead of creating so many obstacles. It is very discouraging when you start with 120 people in a class and only graduate with 40ish.

Increase the number of people that stayed on campus during the weekends (allow boys to spend the night in order to get people to visit here instead of visit at their location), get a computer in the science building that prints to the printer, nobody has time to find a professor, turn on the computer, print one thing, print and then put the laptop way just to print one thing. Every time we get a laptop out we also have to find a key to the room where they are stored. Receive new microscopes. Change science course to being two times a week and longer in order to give science majors a day off to go job shadow. A lot of biology and chemistry majors do not know what they want to do professionally and when they skip classes for a day to visit, teachers don't like that and they miss material. As well as it only gives them one day. I wish I could have job shadowed one a week for atleast a year to give me more experience. So maybe just do the two times a week for seniors. The capstone projects need to be all research, some people didn't do research and did an intership which is not what the project should be about.

That everyone would be on the same page and you would not get a different answer every person you go to.

I think that all grades should be counted towards a passing grade. Test should not be the only thing that is "graded", it should all be combined together. Also ATI should not be graded, it is practically a guessing game with some questions because we weren't taught some things. They should either be extra credit or graded for completion.

I would improve the complex clinical experience. I feel that as a nursing student about to graduate, we should be able to have a preceptorship experience with a nurse for several weeks like most other nursing schools do. I feel that my med/surg clinical rotation was more complex than my complex rotation. I do not feel that my complex nursing rotation prepaired me enough to be a nurse in a couple months.

I was very disappointed with the career advice I was given by my advisor, my freshman year. It was obvious that I was not sure what field of study I would like to go into and instead of advising me to do general studies, I began classes for a course of study that I did not like. The lack of ultimate planning that I experienced, cost me an extra semster of classes.

The classrooms were most often dirty. The desks and tables required cleaning prior to use. The tuition cost is also high compared to nearby institutions.

The cost is preventing me from coming back yet this year. To finish with my RN and go onto my Master's eventually. The lines at Christina's has gotten extremely long over the past three years. It would be nice if they had an extra cashier during the breaks and lunch hour. It would also be nice if they had more salads stocked. They seem to run out on a regular basis, so you have to choose another item or choose not to eat.

Maybe try to help us find jobs in Omaha since we have no preceptorships in nursing. Give us like more info on how/where look for jobs.

Better communciation when making big changes such as the lincoln campus closing

The nursing program needs to be more organized. Teachers constantly go back and forth regarding material discussed in class and also regarding the nursing policies.

Sometimes quizzes were given using a "test bank" of questions. A portion of questions from that test bank were randomly assigned to students--each student got a mix of different questions. Sometimes, some of the students got easier questions, while other students got harder questions, so grading may have been somewhat unfair. I feel that all of the students should get the same questions on the tests to make it fair.

Improve the organization of the ASN program.

I would have loved to have an ICU rotation, or at least more than just one day, I would love to have a guaranteed surgical experience, and I would love to have the chance to get extra clinical experience in the area of our choice, even if it is not a preceptorship. This could even be optional, only for those who desire it.

More organization of the nursing programs.

The transition from the LPN program to the ASN program was not well executed. I felt as though I was repeating content instead of expanding on what I had already learned. I found this to be very frustrating and expensive.

I wish the nursing program would eliminate the ASN program and just do a BSN program.

On a personal level, I wish I could have been part of more school organizations.

Residence Halls. They are outdated and I think more students would stay on campus if they were apartment style.

The LPN program is very inconsistent. I feel that in the future, all teachers, clinical instructors and so on need to be on the same page. We would have one instructor tell us one thing and another tell us something else. We were always confused as to what we really needed to be doing and how.

Which classes can transfer and what can not to be clearly understood. First semester of nursing classes was very unorganized and at times the computer test would mark questions wrong that were right which in the end affects GPA.

I took OB/PEDS in fall 2011. The OB/PEDS classes were way too tough. They were ran like a boot camp. It felt like it was NUR 100/170 again. It made the last semester of nursing school very easy. The testing criteria in OB/PEDS (except the final) had questions that only seasoned RN's would know from working in OB/PEDS. It was very frustrating because I couldn't find information that they tested over in my theory books or ATI. The ATI PEDS testing material did not correlate with theory lecture. My biggest problem with the OB program is that there was obvious favoritism with students. In OB, many students were picked not to complete care plans and were able to go to off-sites that were not available to everyone else. In addition, the care plan criteria for OB made no sense and that is why I wished CSM had a standardized care plan for students. I had other faculty and students (including students that were chosen not to do care plans) to look over my care plan and stated that it clearly met requirements. However, it was never good enough for OB faculty and I had to re-do my careplans repeatedly. The corrections and recommendations made no sense. I didn't want to report favoritism because I was afraid of the OB teachers would fail me. I loved working with pediatric clients and pregnant women, but the OB teachers made me dread it because of their unrealistic expectations.

Better clinical experiences

I would improve the timeliness of some faculty at CSM. There were many times that I needed to contact them whether it be via email, or phone and did not hear from them for an extended amount of time.

I think that more of the undergraduate requirements should be online. Theology shouldn't be mandatory. It was a waste of my time to have to take two credits of this. It doesn't apply to my major

The dining hall. The food is fine, but sometimes that hours are not very convienent. I know that it would be hard since they work hard in the dining hall, or what they could do is that for residents of MLL or Lozier they could possibly get free food from Cristina's Place. It is the same food they give out in the dining hall, but sometimes people don't have time to go all the way to the dining hall so I don't

understand why we have to pay for the same food that is given in the dining hall.

I think that the Express Center can sometimes be difficult to work with but I have never had an issue with them. I think that the financial aide department needs help and so does advising. Everyone has different advisors telling people conflicting information about the same courses and programs. I think that we need an actual advisement department with just advisors. I would also put a computer lab in the science building. It is stupid that you have to walk back to the library to print out information that you need for lab.

I think that more notice should have been given for the closure of the Lincoln campus. I was 3 classes away from my bachelor's degree and changed it to a Certificate because I do not have the time to drive back and forth to Omaha. In that I am really disappointed in the College of Saint Mary's.

Changes that need to be made: Newer/younger teachers whom have experience in todays nursing field. Teachers whom are willing to help students rather than make them feel bad when they do not know an answer. Teachers whom are willing to seek out opportunities in the clinical setting for the students rather than make us stay in a clients room all day. Clinical instructors whom do NOT pick and choose favorites or use weaknesses against the student.

If I could ask for only one thing it would be organization. There is no organization, everything is thrown together last minute and no one ever seems to fully know what is going on. I do not expect people to be 100 percent in the loops at every second, but when I pay $12,500 a semester I expect people to know what they are doing!

1. Coaches in the athlectic program and the evaluation of them. I played a sport for all four years and was very dissatisfied in the quality of the coaching staff for some of them programs. There was a lack of experince for the college level as well as a lack of proffessionalism. If it was not for scholarship money I would not have played all four years of my college career and I believe there currently need to be a strong evaluation of the coaching stafff and allow for feedback from the players. 2. I did have a lot of frustration when dealing with money and getting the correct information from the express center. As years went on there was a lot of imporvement but there was some dissapointment in preparedness for the staff.

I understand that there is a significanly low Asian population at CSM, but I firmly believe that it should still be showcased because there are no events that celebrate Asian heritage for those of us that are of that ethnic background. I know that MAS is suppose to organize those types of events, but Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is towards the end of May/ beginning of June.

I would like to say that I was proud to be a CSM graduate, but now I really have mixed feelings. It hurts me to see these young students struggle with this new move. If this had happen to me when I first started, I would never have achieved my Bachelor's Degree and I just wonder how many other students will now let their dreams go and not finish their education.

Athletics need more money/a better system to get athletes to come to CSM. We need to give better scholarships because this is not the best school to play because we aren't serious about our sports when we don't give close to full rides or students from over sees. Coach should receive the information about students that might want to come play at the school.

I feel that the ATI program is an excellent tool to help us succeed. At times, I did not enjoy the ATI tests, but they did prove to be very educational for me. I also wish that somebody from the Bachelors program would speak to us about the program and what to expect, as not all advisors have a good understanding of the program.

Online masters program for out of state students

That ALL classes should be canceled for the day when the Campus is doing Spirit of Service Day. ALL programs should be given the opportunity to attend morning as well as afternoon or both. Classes should be ended before 12pm, so students can attend special training lessons by the achievement center or be able to attend Mass by not having to be uncomfortable for walking into training or Mass late. Or choose not to attend training or Mass because they don't want to be rude by walking in late.

I feel your tuition is too high considering the lack of education that was taught. Sometimes the nursing program felt like it was a "self-teach program". The NCLEX teaches "CAB" and your program still teaches ABC's. No one should have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars to go to a college that doesn't prepare you what you will be tested over on the state boards. For a program that costs over $25,000 it should be top quality. I also feel your financial aid department picks and chooses who they want to help out. I will never ever recommend anyone to go to this school.

The addition of an advising staff would benefit both the students and the faculty. Trying to schedule an advising session with a teacher can be very difficult.

We could use new microscopes because a lot of the ones we have a broken. There should be a computer in the murie curie room that allows you to print to the printer because there are no computers that allow you to print to that printer in the building. None of the stationary computers are hooked up so the printer is worthless, but we need a printer in that building.

I think the MSN program meets the needs of the non-traditional student very well. I could not have completed this program if it were more traditional. I loved the hybrid model. I was able to work full time, have a family, and still complete the program.

Includes all diversity and welcomes input.

I did not feel as though the faculty regarded the MSN student as a professional working adult. I would say that while some may feel a hybrid program is valuable, I felt as though the time spent on campus was not useful and in fact I looked at transferring to another MSN program 2 times during the course of this degree. I did not because of the cost involved with lost credits. After having completed this hybrid program, I would have preferred an all online program and will encourage other professionals to seek all online as well. It was difficult to work on campus days into my professional life and I did not find the on campus experience to be meaningful to me. I would also say it was a struggle to have the director Dr. Morin retire in the middle of my program as it was a challenge to adjust to Dr. Wade's expectations and style. I did not find Dr. Wade to be as available and eager to meet with students as Dr. Morin . It seems Dr. Wade preferred to just communicate in email. I would say overall, the faculty seem to have lost perspective of their adult student poplulation and the unique needs of seasoned professionals returning to grad school. Dr. Wade seems eager to make a scholar out of everyone but it feels as though she is pushing her goals on the students without including and asking the student what their goals are for grad school and what they hope to get out of the program. I am glad to have accomplished an MSN as this degree will open many doors of opportunity in the years to come. I know CSM will make the needed changes to adapt to a very competitive graduate school market.

If wanting to recruit more students from outside the Omaha area, especially in outstate Nebraska, need to be accomodating to working with nontraditional students....taking into consideration their work and drive time. Maybe could make use of Skype or other technology.

The hybrid program worked wonderfully for me as a non-traditional student, as I was able to take courses online as well as in class. Though it did not happen often, whenever I had a conflict with class and family commitments, my instructors were very understanding.

Time frame. Being done in only 18 months is great!

Dr. Jeffrey Ehrlich's continued support and persistence in assiting to conclusion. Without his compassion and unrelenting positive critique and concern, I would not have made it to completion. He was easily the most valuable and accessible faculty member, concerned only with my continued achievement. He was prompt, wise and full of insightful and timeless advice. His tireless approach and obvious patience and selflessness are rare and unique in my experience. He is simply a great teacher and one that I will never forget. Dr. Peggy Hawkins was also invaluable at the outset and very open to allowing some flexibility in my program. Dr. Hawkins was terrific and I was very sorry to see her go. Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. Nugen were also extremely helpful in their administrative duties. Although I have never actually met my new advisor, Dr. Phillip, she was very responsive in any queries or needs. I very much appreciated all of the assistance and believe in CSM as a proud alumni. It is always about relationships and I am the fortunate benefactor of so many great CSM instructors and staff. I enjoyed the knowledge that I gained. I know that it will help me in the classroom with lesson planning and class management. I also really liked the interaction with other students. Even though we were working towards a variety of certifications, I really feel that the experiences that we shared helped me to grow as a teacher and student.

I really enjoyed my classmates, my teachers and my counselor I felt my all around experience with CSM was a good one and I felt the only way I was able to complete this program was because of the way it was set up on Saturdays. It allowed me to keep working and to keep as much of a normal family life as possible during the week. By only having to be in classes one day instead of going in the evenings after working I felt it was so much better for me and my family. It took a lot of organization but it was so worth it and I would refer others to the program.

I am most satisfied with the classes that were offered during my program. They were insightful and challenging while still allowing adequate time with my family. My advisory experience

Better advising in the MAT program. My advisor, Maryellen was incredibly difficult to get a hold of and only answered a few of my emails.

Be sure to get the plan of study down in writing for each semester

Quicker feedback from instructors.

It was somewhat confusing as I had several advisors over the three and one-half years, however, that was nothing more than coincidence and could not be helped. Although I previously had a solid relationship with Dr. Martha Brown, and I am sure her life has changed significantly, she was very difficult to reach and never did respond to any of my questions during her time as my temporary advisor. However, again, I know her life has had much upheaval, so perhaps would not recommend Dr. Brown as an advisor for graduate studies. I believe CSM did all possible to communicate expectations and follow-through when needed. In particular, during this past year, Dr. Phillip was very good in directing all obligations at all times.

I would have liked to be able to look on-line and see exactly what was required of my particular program based on the classes I had taken as an undergraduate. It was a little confusing at times since the information I was told conflicted with the information on My CSM account.

Consistency in the advising and requirements from the program. Too many changes being implemented durning my cohort with no input requested. This resulted in a successful petition.

I felt there was a lot of busy work given to us in our classes, maybe not so many discussion boards.

This particular program could improve with a better communication channel and more experienced instructors.

Better communication of information ahead of deadlines and more organized faculty who are focused on the college coursework instead of their "other" jobs. I would also ensure Dr. Ladwig played a larger part in planning the overall MAT program.

I believe that it would be very easy to blast an email out to students in the MAT program, giving them dates of importants, i.e. signing up for new classes, practicum, student teaching, graduation, etc. There were times in class when we found out that something of importance needed to be done by our peers, and it would be just a matter of a blast email to all enrolled in the program.

Improve communication between adjunct professors. Standardize formats and deadlines for discussion boards Standardize course requirements and assignments; i.e., so students in all sections have the same due dates and that the due dates given by the instructor match the due dates on the syllabus. Delay the "course evaluation" until the course is completed..

Cost

I had no issues.

Organization and Advising for the overall program. It would be nice to have a personal advisor that is more focused on my individual success. Merryellen is overworked.

None at this time.

Having more staff in place who are exclusively in place for the MAT program to answer questions within a professionally appropriate time frame would be helpful.

A more thorough exercise in lesson planning. I felt the lesson plan part was not fully explained or vetted, and I was left to "figure it out" so for one of the courses I do not feel the grading was fair.

Lack of communication between advisor and teacher. I felt I had to leave numerous messages in order to get a response to a question I had.

Consistency of dissertation committee members, IRB members, and expectations. There were far too many updates to requirements while I was in the program. Although I agree with the enhancements to the program, and it is better for future students because of the enhancements, it was difficult tobe a student during this time of transition. All students should be required to attend a course on computer literature searching or take a basic level competency in this area. I missed such an opportunity and it was a hindrance to my efficiency later.

I would ask that ALL teachers treat ALL students fairly by grading working fairly and in a timely manner, responding to e-mail, and being professional. I think that the school would benefit from improving communication.

Faster turnarounds with requests for professional information, letters of recommendation, licensure documents, etc.

I wish the classes focused more on practice and working during the classes than having so much extra work to do at home. I believe that students who are able to get a provitional certificate and are not student teaching should not be required to take the student-teaching seminar in the same manner as the other students since the experiences are different. As new teachers we need more time to plan and be prepared for our classes. Taking the student-seminar class added to my stress on the first year of teaching and took away valuable time from my planning. The requirements and topics should be different for students with a provitional certificate.

The organization of the faculty being on the same page and efficiently communicating lesson plans to students. Notifying the schools in advance that I was placed at their school for practicum or student teaching hours.

The program needs to be completely revamped. It is supposed to be catered to non-traditional students and it was anything but. This program was a large waste of time and did not prepare me for my position. I learned everything from my practicum and my student teaching.

Saturday classes would not be as long as they were, because by 2 pm most times I was "done" inputting information.

The research methods class needs to be geared more towards learning how to critique research studies and apply research findings to practice. I would also make sure students knew which classes are offered which semester at the beginning of the program. It makes a huge difference if you are only taking 1 or 2 classes per semester instead of 3. I missed a class because I thought it was offered each semester, when it actually wasn't. So I had to get special permission to take courses out of order towards the end of the program.

Accessability to the Dr. Schulz. It became very well known that she is overwhelmed with her job responsibilities and not to rely on a quick response to questions. Phone messages were never answered and emails needed to be resent several times before receiving a response.

Nothing that I can think of at the moment.

Make the standards for entering the MAT more strict. I think we should have a PASSING grade to the PPST/Praxis I prior to being admitted to the program. There were so many people that were in the classes that were clearly not on board, and once we all had to have the PPST passed, some of those individuals left the MAT program. Due to the large amount of group project required, it made it impossible for some students to get a decent grade when they hoped.

Even though the faculty was amazing, I am concerned about the high turnover rate of professors and adjunct faculty. My advisor was replaced three times and my graduate committee was replaced several times.

More educated faculty who are familiar with the doctoral process. Educate more people in the area about the program and the requirements. Professionals in the community do not seem to have an understanding of the program, in turn, I'm not sure they are convinced it is a program they will support.

The quality of instruction

Overall communication Computer Lab availability and hours. Ability to reach advisor or receive a response in a timely manner. Understand expectations for instructors to post grades in a timely manner. I waited at least two months to receive a grade on one of my classes and I would have like to have known of a deadline or when to expect my grade.

The MAT program was somewhat unorganized. It was hard to find answers to some questions. The transition to a new head of the education department made it difficult to get answers to questions, and we were not taken care of as we should have been (especially with how much money we are paying). Some teachers in the MAT program did a terrible job of teaching certain areas. They did not utilize textbooks adequately (even though we paid for them), and they did not teach the content that the title of the class dictated. I would suggest a better system to answer questions. Major projects, such as practicum portfolios, were not spelled out well enough, especially considering how important they were.

I think there are several things this program could improve on. I feel as though the program has far too many kinks and grievances to feel secure in what I was doing or what was expected of me. It seems as though the program administrators are stretched too far thin and unable to keep up with the program and all of the students. I have an elementary endorsement, and spent so much of my time feeling confused about the requirements and if I was doing what I was supposed to be doing, even after

meeting with advisors. I feel as though I received more guidance from past students. I also feel that some of the courses from year to year have not been comparable. Course objectives and requirements need to be more consistent from year to year or semester to semester. There were certain courses I felt I gained a lot from, however, it seemed mostly unnecessary, discombobulated, or not on a graduate level. I did not feel prepared going into student teaching and realized quickly that I had not been exposed to very valuable things I should have been focusing on while in the program, especially summative and formative assessments. I also thought the expectation of taking two classes while student teaching is extreme. Having to complete observation hours while student teaching for another class is illogical. I understand the need for a student teaching seminar, however it should stop there.

CSM OT classes need to be capped to ensure education. I felt there were several times where instructors were too busy to really give students the attention needed.

More experience and clinical time within the curriculum . For out of state internships CSM should help us find places to stay. I feel that our tuition money should go towards our internships (rent, food, and gas) instead of the school.

DON'T CALL ME FOR DONATIONS WHEN I'M STILL PAYING TUITION

In the MOL program, I would have like to have had a class in the HR area, interview process, and termination process. Leadership is not just about leading a company, but unfortunate tough decisions that involved HR issues, and potentially resulting in termination of an employee.

The class size would be decreased, there would be more teachers, and the financial aid process would have been smoother.

I wish there was more information available about elementary. It was very difficult scheduling my semesters and making sure that I was taking all the right classes. I had to give up my full time job to take some of the classes that were only offered during the work day and I could not take off the time from work. Now, a lot of the classes are becoming available to take on Saturdays and I wish they were available to me when I needed them to be. I understand that it is a recent change to the program and am glad that they are implementing elementary entirely into the program.

I enrolled late and did not get an orientation. This left me figuring many things out on my own. Just be aware of that for others who are enrolling late.

Consistancy and communication would be the first to things I would tackle as far as improving this program. Each instructor had a different style of rubric, and not all instructor were clear.

Dr. Schultz was not effective at communicating and responding to concerns. She should have been more available to students and more concerned with the quality of faculty.

I would like to have been treated with the respect a practicing BSN prepared nurse deserves. Many faculty members who taught undergraduate courses also taught in the MSN program and did not appear to teach at our level of adult learning.

To provide less research and more hands on experience such as adding more rotations into the program.

Financial aid services.

-The library needs more study rooms along with reasonable rules for using study rooms. A student should be allowed to use a study room for the duration of a day if need be. -Professors need to maintain professionalism and requirements they set for grades. There were several instances where failing grades should have been given, but professors gave exceptions to certain students. -Programs (specially OT) need more professors to adequately teach and grade students. Students pay tuition in an amount that should allow for professors to allot more time and effort towards classes than they are able to due to understaffing issues.

Again, consider the students that live away from Omaha when requiring projects, such as group projects that need to be done on campus. Also need to be more considerate of these students in regards to graduation things, such as meetings preparing for graduation that take 20 minutes and expecting the students to drive there for them. Did finally make accomodations but had to talk with several people and they were not always congenial with the situation.

Have more OT faculty and staff

More faculty to support large class size. More professional leadership within the program.

More organized OT program, when I went through I felt they were very under staffed to handle the amount of students they had.

Some of the courses needed a connection to my current situation. I would have liked know how I could specifically apply that knowledge.

More professional department director. Ability to choose location of fieldwork. More communication with professors while on fieldwork. Increased parking (Fall was absolutely unacceptable). More access to OT lab and increase time availablity. Decreased class size-there really needs to be a cap to get the adequate educational experience we are paying high tuition for. I have never had such a negative experience multiple times over with a financial aid office as I did with CSM, and this was similar situation to my classmates. I always had an error, and they were very unfriendly and when asked for help seemed it was an inconvenience for them. (Lani Swanson was the exception to this previous statement, once I was helped by her she was absolutely fantastic and did everything to help, she was very helpful, kind, and willing to go the extra mile!) The price for spring tuition for LEVEL II fieldwork needs to be reassessed, I did not step foot on campus, had to pay for my own housing/commute ect for my experience while paying +$10,000 in tuition with no assitance for fieldwork. A transfer student who HAS an undergraduate degree should be ALLOWED to be considered a graduate student in your program to be able to access additional financial aid, I was told this was up to the department and they denied multiple requests on this matter.

I would improve the mentoring program at CSM. I feel as though faculty from the program could have been more supportive and could have reached out more throughout the program to assist with student success. Also, I would improve private/group study areas for students. There are not enough private rooms on campus for students to work privately or in a small group.

More faculty members in the OT department to assist students more efficiently....very under staffed for the number of students we have.

Not allowing practicum and major project to be done at the same agency; it was quite confusing!

I signed up for a in-class Saturday programs. I understand that things will be due during the week but I didn't like how some classes required posts by certain days or try to do as much online. I signed up for taking actual classes since that is how I learn better. I woudn't require so many books. I felt like we had a ton of books but only read a small amount. If that's the case, let us copy the section out or use something else. Books were very expensive. I would also lower the prices at Christina's. I am paying 20,000 for tuition and shouldn't be spending that much on food. Cut us a deal!

What I would have improved is alreay in action. Dr. Ladwig will make this program one of the best and she will fix all the issues, flaws and problems within the program.

The Express Center at times seems unorganized. CSM should also allow students to pay by the credit hour rather than a flat rate for tuition.

I would improve the availibility of bookstore hours and the other campus facilities during the Saturdays when classes are taking place. Also, I did not find the bookstore helpful with materials needed for class.

During my four years at CSM, there was a tremendous changes in faculty with a high turn-over rate. Do address this if that is possible to anticipate. It is very stressful to bond with faculty and want to work with faculty and then have many faculty leave at once. Be especially careful to not reassign committee members or chairs after the dissertation hours are started. Do not apply new rules to present students but apply these new rules to the next students admitted to the program. We all know change must happen but not constantly. I think the doctoral handbook was revised three times during the time I was at CSM. A program at this level is something a student chooses based on certain components present in the program and the student doesn't go to other colleges because they are second best in their opinion. But when many changes are made and applied to current students, the student may want to change to another college that follows through on what the college originally promised to the student upon admission. Do not approve a plan of study and then change it since the student has chosen this program of study because it can be completed within a certain time frame and within a certain budget (inflation considered).

I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the MAT program at College of Saint Mary. Thank you!

I think that the changes in the Dissertation course have added rigor to the course content.

I really don't have anything that I can think of I just enjoyed the program a lot and hope to be back to learn so more!

Improved evaluation of undergrad credits and courses to more closely align student foundation to endorsement. Consult with student - post practicum or at some point prior to student teaching- to discuss any changes indicated in endorsements. Provide assistance with the webpage - perhaps a "workshop" or lab time - to help students continue to strengthen their skills. The web portfolio is an essential piece of our program, and a three week course is insufficient to gain mastery. The "web workshop" could be provided near the end of each course, to help the students make sure their work is posted on their Webpage. Barring an actual "workshop", having a student-helper available in the lab post technology class would be very helpful.

I enjoyed my experience at CSM. It has greatly broadened my horizons and I would recommend the program and college to anyone.

There should be more in-depth discussion on student teaching before student teaching begins. And there should be standardized rules for student teachers, that cooperating teachers should follow. I felt blindsided by the expectations of each cooperating teacher, and felt stressed by the entire process.

I appreciate the education that I received from CSM and appreciate the support of faculty. Communication processes between faculty and students are not always the most timely. I found myself frequently waiting for feedback beyond the expected timeframe. This was particularly difficult during key phases of my research.

I feel that I have learned so much and I am very grateful for the experiences that I have gained. Especially thank you to Dr. Ladwig, Dr. Schultz, Ann Adkins, Lindsey Schultz, Cheryl Kraft, and Kami Jessop. Your commitment and dedication along with your patience and knowledge are what makes CSM a great place to learn!

I believe that Dr. Schultz needs another assistance since she is very busy to handle all the requests and needs of all her students. It has very hard to reach her when questions arose. She was very helpful when I had a problem regarding my application for my provitional however. I still believe that she is only one person and she can only do so much.

Silly little thing but many CSM publications had typographical errors/misspelling. Being a prior secretary, spell check does not catch everything and documents still have to be closely proofread. Use of the SmartBoard needs to be more of concentration in the technology area. This is a skill that I really needed to be exposed to. Not even having one in the classroom when we learned about it was a detrement. Computer applications are nice but I've found in reality, students don't have alot of access

to them for long periods of time in school. In lower income areas students don't have them at home and can not come to school early or late because of busing. Difficult problem to address. I plan to try but SmartBoard applications would have been a better use of time.

This school truly allowed me to "bloom" into the teacher that God has called me to be. Thank you all!

Take better care of the MAT students. Make it easier to find answers to questions. Make sure those in leadership positions do not ignore us.

OVERALL A GREAT EXPERIENCE

I enjoyed all my professors. They all had great insight, life experience combine w/education. In my personal opinion, the one instrument provided to us that I thought was unncessary for class time, is in one of my classes Dr. Joslin had a gentleman come in to discuss and show us how to meditate and woman that discussed taking care of our bodies. Although, I fully agree with being a leader encompasses many areas of our lives and there is great importance to be well grounded physcially, spiritually, emotionally. For what we pay for this education, I would have preferred something geared more toward leadership and business. Also, Dr. Joslin required us to read books in her classes, yet rarely discussed the readings in the class. That is where my learning transformed the most is with the in-class discussions.

I found the MOL program to be great in threoy. The first three classes were almost identical. I feel that out of all the books purchased and read; I found three to be useful. I would not recommend this program to anyone until some changes get made. Dr. Joslin took on a major task in a short time, maybe changing the entire program in under a month was not the best idea. I found that the difference in the instructors rubric styles to be unneccarily confusing. All insturctor should have had one format. I did not expect so much “busy work” at a Masters level. I thought there could have been meaningful work to accomplish. We are now in the final module and are just starting the learn the difference between qualiative and quantitave research; and need these skills for our capstone. These are two things that should have been incorporated thoughtout the program. I have three weeks to figure them out; thanks. I am glad to be almost done, and hope this degree will help me seek more appropriate employment. Sadly, I do not feel more educated in the field of leadership. I do see some fellow classmates who have grown tremendously. I have already taken the personaility assesments, and been a leader for years; maybe I should have chose another field.

Would like to have had someone come talk to us about the Ed. D

My supervisor was unpleasant, discriminator against my students and student teaching placement, and I was uncomfortable with comments she made but was unable to report my concerns to any caring person at CSM.

Unfortunately, a negative experience with Dr. Schultz in regards to my Student Teaching placement has left me with a mistrust for the leaders of this college and feeling of worthless tuition dollars spent at CSM. However, the professional and compassionate disposition of Dr. Ladwig encouraged me to continue to pursue my degree and Student Teaching placement.

For future graduating classes, I think programs (such as OT) who complete their requirements in the summer months should have a seperate ceremony for students to attend. Students work hard for 3

years to earn their degree and it is frusterating for students and their peers when they are unable to attend graduation due to course requirements that cause students to be working in other states. Several OT students are unable to fly in and attend their graduation due to their rotations being out of state not within driving distance.

It may be an opportunity to expand into a larger market to offer the option of all online as many professsional I know have careers that are demanding and would be unable to take time off for a hybrid program.

I really ejoyed my time in the MOL program and the connections I have made to allow myself to grow and further my career.

I truely am upset with my decision to attend CSM and had I known everything I would experience I would have chosen a different graduate program and this truely upsets me as there are several professors in the OT program that go above and beyond (Mary Smith, Kristin Haas, Cristy Daniel). There were several students who did not mee the requirements Summer 2011 to continue in the program; however were given a pass by professors to continue, again this matter occurred in November/Decemeber 2011 another couple of students one in particular was from this summer situation failed to meet requirements but yet again were allowed to continue in the program. There are specific standards that are to be met, by ALL students not by a select few. I feel by allowing those students to pass when clearly they did not earn it diminishes the degree my fellow classmates who did the work and deserve to pass and the hardwork we have put in for so long to little of nothing. This situation was brought to the attention of several OT professors, yet nothing was changed. Also the director was very unprofessional on numerous accounts, and this was brought to the head of the department's attention yet again nothing was done. I feel that at CSM the mission is to sweep any indiscretions under the rug and ignore any real problems. I am very disappointed and to the above is why I would not recommend and have not recommended CSM OT program to inquiring students. I had an amazing 4 year undergraduate experience, and am sad to say that CSM did not even come close to being a good experience.

In particular, I was glad that Jeff Ehrlich's contract was either not renewed or he transferred on his own. Be aware if faculty are changing the course requirements during the course and not following through on the items bolded in their syllabus. Dr. Ehrlich did not give me a clue of what grade I would be receiving until Dec. 20th in the fall of 2010. Items with points attached were not done and items that were not originally important were added. Very frustrating. All other graduate faculty have been very dependable and easy to work with.
