It’s all about the pre-sale! Think of data upfront: later on requires re-programming of all subscribers + new equipment Detail all components of the entire system – when in doubt call for questions!!! Data has lots of value but needs more TLC: high system load = more busies Control stations:

Data only use XPR4350 low power (1-2W) Voice + data use XPR4550 low power (1-2W) Use magmount / external antennas

When using customer PCs recommend new / clean PCs – avoid possible conflicts When using email avoid using customer’s Exchange servers: Google Apps/GoDaddy Suggest Capacity Plus whenever possible – use conventional with caution New 3rd party app? We’ll support it, typically at no cost, but get technical contact

phone interconnect

iTalkie/RG

Incoming:• inbound email is broadcast to all gateways as a text message• gateways receive the text and place it on a queue for forwarding to the subscriber• when the subscriber acknowledges receipt of the text, the gateway notifies all other gateways• upon receipt notification the other remove the text from the queue

Outbound:• when a gateway receives a text it broadcasts it• the gateway with the email gateway receives the text and forwards it as an email

iTalkie™: group call routing

Talkgroup 101

Talkgroup 234

Talkgroup 377

iTalkie/RG radio gateway• default IP channel = 4• default group contact ID = 101

Console, PC client or mobile client• CS display as being on channel 4

Groups defined:• Maintenance (ID=101)• Security (ID=234)• engineering (ID=377)

“Route To radio”=OFF, filtering “allow any talkgroup”=ON• calls to maintenance are routed to talkgroup 101• security and maintenance call are not routed to radios

“Route To radio”=ON, filter “allow any talkgroup”=ON• calls to maintenance are routed to talkgroup 101• calls to security are routed to talkgroup 234• calls to engineering are routed to talkgroup 377

“Route To radio”=ON, filter “allow any talkgroup”=OFF, security un-checked• calls to maintenance are routed to talkgroup 101• calls to security are not routed to radios• calls to engineering are routed to talkgroup 377

With mutiple gateways, routing allows calls to reach one or more gateways (e.g. AllCall, or same group in different sites)

In reverse, calls from different radio groups can be routed to different groups on the console or a single group (see RX list)

Also, calls from radios can reach via IP other radios in other gateways (e.g. different site)

No need to changeradio channels!
