Ramadan Khatm-ul Quran Insha'Allah, Ramadan Khatm-ul Quran at ICNEV will be on Friday, June 23rd. We encourage all community members to join us for Isha & Taraweeh followed by special supplication. Walnut baklavas are $10/box and pistachio baklavas are $12/box. We will also be taking Eid pre-orders that will be ready for you to pick up after Eid prayer. Pre-orders will be taken after juma prayer and after completion of Quran recitation on Friday night. This is a great way to enjoy delicious freshly baked sweets while supporting refugee families. Henna for Ladies Insha’allah, there will be henna available for sisters on Saturday, June 24 after Maghrib Prayer. Refugee Iftar Success! Last Sunday, ICNEV had the privilege of hosting nearly 200 newly arrived refugees from all over the world. Outreach team had been working really hard to make sure everyone in the family receives an Eid gift and the family enjoys a memorable evening. And they did, with dinner, balloons for the kiddos and professional family photos to take home. We also coordinated with ICC to provide an Eid Day Celebration for the families. For those needing transportation, a bus will bring them to Eid prayer and then Amazing Jakes to have fun for the rest of Eid day. All of this is provided by ICC Refugee Outreach Team led br Nedal Fayad. Steam Cleaning of MPR This is to let you know that for Eid preparation, we will perform steam cleaning for Multi Purpose Room (MPR) on Saturday June 24th. For this reason we will not be having a community sponsored iftar this coming Saturday, to allow MPR carpet to dry out. Thank you for your understanding. Ommana Foundation Ommana Foundation is continuing its work to provide education to under-privileged children, imparting vocational training to women and also providing drinking water in various villages of Africa & Asia. We have over 350 children who are being educated at our centers – both in religious and general academic studies. . An additional 60 women have completed training at the Gujranwala vocational center last year. This year, due to local demand, we have decided to upgrade all schools to grade 5, hence completing the primary school education. We have added grade 4 this year and next year we shall add grade 5 . inshaAllah. We have also just completed a water well project in Gujranwala to provide clean drinking water to the community in the school vicinity. We currently have requests for more water wells in Senegal & Pakistan. The Senegal project is estimated to cost $1100. So, as you decide where to spend your Zakat money, please do remember to allocate a portion for the Ommana children. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Your donation will be fully tax deductible (IRS Tax Exempt ID = 27-2658811) A 100% of your donations will go to help educate these children, train the women to earn a better living and provide clean drinking water. But if they dispute with you, say: I have submitted myself entirely to Allah and (so) every one who follows me; and say to those who have been given the Book and the unlearned people: Do you submit yourselves? So if they submit then indeed they follow the right way; and if they turn back, then upon you is only the delivery of the message and Allah sees the servants.{19-20}.
