My Roles Explained

Director:

Bernard.Protagonist: Femi. Cameraman – Michael.

As director it was my duty to brief the actors on their roles, how they will carry out their character roles and at what point they will need to be in different areas of our chosen location. In this specific point, we arrived at a hotel where our opening shots were filmed. Additionally, I was reviewing the shots we have previously filmed and considered other shots and angles to carry out for the upcoming scenes with the actor highlighted in this image.

Here I briefed the cameraman on specific points to film, what angles to shoot and how long to film for, as we opted to leave three second gaps between scenes to ensure editing ran as smoothly as possible.

Location: Vauxhall – George Wharf Apartments.

During filming I obtained a log book where I had made notes on all the particular scenes that needed to be filmed at specific times and at specific locations. Additionally, I used my BlackBerry to access files I had saved on desired shot compositions, mise-en-scene and camera movements we needed to achieve to ensure our film was of a high quality.

In this particular scene, I briefed further actors we had shortlisted and acquired through various methods, college, friends etc. Antagonist: Jorginho.Violent Character1: Juwon.Extra: Bradley.
