Mrs. Patricia Mauer

Principal

Fr. Aaron Jenkins, MA, MDiv

Pastor

Through the months of May and June, St. Michael parishioners were involved in a Prayer Initiative. The hours of prayer generated through the Initiative were to be our “Welcome Gift” to our new pastor and principal on July 1, 2015, their first official day at St. Michael. Individual and collective hours of prayer were offered for our parish and for our new pastor and new principal. While we prayed for our parish overall, we prayed diligently in anticipation of the arrival of our pastor and principal and for their future success. Parishioners tracked their hours of prayer and shared them either weekly or monthly with the parish office. In the first few weeks of our Prayer Initiative individuals and families pledged the number of hours they were going to pray to help establish our goal. Our goal was 4,851 hours of prayer.

On Wednesday, July 1, our St. Michael Parish family’s

“Welcome Gift” to Fr. Jenkins and Mrs. Mauer...

6,395 hours of prayer! Truly a welcoming gift that exemplifies our faithfulness, expresses our gratitude for their arrival and offers our ongoing support.

Help Wanted: Volunteers NCYC-National Catholic Youth Conference

November 19-21, 2015 I am the chair person for Bishop’s Corner for the National Catholic Youth Conference to be held November 19-21, 2015 at Lucas Oil Stadium and the Convention Center. The Bishop’s Corner is a special venue where bishops from all over the United States will come to welcome our youth and talk with them one on one promoting faith, hope and vocations. One co-chair person is needed to assist me with the venue to make sure it is running smoothly and assist the visiting bishops. Volunteer Hosts and Hostesses are needed to “work the venue” during the open hours as youth visit the bishops. Your mission, should you choose to accept it will be to make sure we have drinks available for the bishops, make sure the venue is kept clean, direct traffic through the venue, and help create a welcoming atmosphere to our bishops and youth participants from across the country. The venue is a 40 foot area that will resemble a camp site. The theme is “Camp Tekitwithya”… designed as a youth camp, the area is an interactive theme park inside the convention center with different venues including the Bishop’s Corner, Catholic book venders, service projects, craft areas, music, coffee shop, and so much more. The goal is to enrich youth spiritually and inspire them to take this experience home with them… thus “Tekitwithya”…. Please call the parish office or email [email protected] if you are willing to help in any way. Two hour shifts are available to volunteer. Thank you,

Paula Richey
