    Upon the Square

Fraternal Greetings from the East... February is fast approaching and filled with activities. First, would be our regular Stated Meeting, and I would like all of you to attend and join us in discussing upcoming events such as the Gathering of Master Masons on Sept1,2&3, 2017. This event will be a challenge for Crocker members to come up with 500 at-tendees. They will be coming from all over California and some from Nevada. Our Grand Master M.W John Heisner and others will be a part of this gathering. So brothers, please join us and lend us your hand. We will also be preparing for the upcoming Valentines Party, the DSOI (District School of Instruction) We will host this event on Feb. 16,2017. We will also be offering our as-sistance to the SF Food Bank on the 25th of Feb. As we participate and work together in all of this activities, Har-mony is always the key to its success. Without looking back in the past, Harmony has now prevailed on our Lodge and will con-tinue to do so as we move forward. The bond between brothers in our Lodge will define its future. Let us keep it this way my brothers. May the Great Architect of the Universe bless us and guide us as rough ashlars to become that ultimate perfect Ashlar. SMIB my brothers. Fraternally yours, Miguel F. Jabagat, Jr Master

FROM THE SOUTH: New Year and New Years Resolutions comes hand in hand and we are al-ways reminded to “Start The Year Right” And yes, we did at Crocker Lodge. The first order of business was our first stated meeting with the new set of officers on their respective stations, it was well attended. A simple, yet well balanced dinner was served with the help of our wardens Bros, Ferdie and John. Special thanks to Bro. Jun Guevara for unselfishly sharing his delicious Macaroni soup. Karaoke machine was set up in the hall for the Sisters use while we are having our stated meeting. I encourage all brothers to bring their Ladies next stated meeting for after dinner activities such as, singing, dancing and Zumba. Our first upcoming event, Pre-Valentines Day Celebration on February 11th is fast approaching and it will be held at the Palmers Hall. All Brothers, their family and friends are invited but, since we have a petite Hall, I encourage all brothers to Reserve a seat by calling me at 415-602-4426 or any of our Stewards. We will dance away the night with Live music from Dante and his Singer. Prizes will be awarded to: the “Best Dressed” couple of the night, the “Sweetest Couple” and the “Most Gorgeous Lady in Red”. The Significance of Valentines Day Each year on February 14th, we exchange greetings, candies, flowers and gifts with our special “Valentine”. It is A day of celebration which is associated with feelings of Love, Care and Affection for those who made our lives special. It is a day to express ones sensuous and romantic aspect of Valentines day for those who associate it with Romance.

    Continued from page #3

On the other side, this day has made it easier for us shy, timid and those who are lacking natural grace and eloquence To express their feelings to the one they love and take full advantage of the avail-ability of Valentines day gifts which Includes, chocolates in fancy heart shaped boxes, ready made bouquet of flowers and cards with poetry composed by Professionals to convey their feelings of Love and Romance. It is a day that ob-serves one of the most beautiful of all Human relationships “Love”. This is a Holiday for Lovers Only. When we love someone, we don’t only feel it our selves, but also with that someone. That mystical feeling called “Love” Is a bridge between two peoples with a heartfelt connection with one another. Why do Lovers whispering each other though they are the only ones in a room? Because their hearts are so close to each other and are resonating on the same Frequency. And why do two Lovers arguing, shouting on top of their voices though they are close to each other? Because, Their hearts are too far from each other… Keep Whispering Brethren… Happy Valentines… Your Valentine Pat D. Ancheta
