Greetings from the East.
Happy Cinco de Mayo to All! I can genuinely say that Grand Lodge will always be there when we need them. They give importance to everyone. Our Grand Master, the Most Worship-ful Russell E. Charvonia, with his very busy schedule, drove for 6 hours to visit our Lodge. We, Crocker Lodge, thank him for tak-ing the time to come and share some words of wisdom, which served as great inspiration to our Lodge. He spoke about his motto, “Repairing the World by Improving Ourselves,” as well as the civility in the Lodge. We had more than 50 Brethren attended and MW Russ was impressed by that. He said that it shows how strong Crocker Lodge is, especially if we have this many attendees in our stated meeting; which we have at least 60 or more all the time. I also want to thank our AGL Wor. Jeff Wilkins, our Inspec-tor Wor. Tony Cimarra and to all the Brethren who came and joined us during that very special
meeting. I want to commend and thank all the Past Maters who exe-cuted the best performance I’ve seen of all the Past Masters’ Night in our Lodge. With the short notice and short practices, they had per-formed well. They make me proud and it shows how good they were and still are. I also want to thank all the sideliners, especially our vis-iting Brethren from other Lodges. We also had the privilege of the presence of 3 sitting Masters: Wor. Jesse Dela Cruz of San Leandro Lodge #113, Wor. Dionisio Dela Cruz of Columbia-Brotherhood Lodge #370, and Wor. Mario Fer-nandez of Francis Drake Lodge #376. Thank you all for coming and for your support to our Brother Ermel Manzano who was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Ma-son. Congratulations Brother Ermel Manzano. I also want to thank all the Brothers and Sisters for taking their time to attend the Masonic Funeral Service of Bro. Manuel E. Oribello last April 17, 2015 in Mountain View, CA. Remember, our masonic values from the three principal ten-ets of Masonry; Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth. Let us continue to live guided by our four Cardinal Virtues. Together We Stand,
Divided We Fall! Sincerely and Fraternally, Mario A. Dayrit Master

Civility is the hard work of staying present even with those whom we have deep-rooted and fierce disagree-ments. It is political in the sense that it is a necessary pre-requisite for civic action. But it is political too, in the sense that it is about negotiating in-terpersonal powers - an act of communication, reaching out, going beyond our personal goals and upholding the ideals that will bring about the growth of each and every one of us, leading to the success of Crocker Lodge as a whole. As emphasized by our Grand Mas-ter MW Russ E. Charvonia in this year’s theme: repairing the world by improving ourselves. Civility begins with us. We must move on by looking to the future of Crocker Lodge. Let us share Masonic views and programs for the Lodge and the community. My dear brothers, I am extending my fraternal friend-ship to all brothers.
Fraternally at your service, Bro. Carlo S. Chaves Senior Warden
Brethren, as we enter the second quarter of our Masonic year I would like to emphasize the word: “Civility”. According to our Grand Master, Most Worshipful Russell E. Charvonia, civility is about more than just politeness, alt-hough politeness is a necessary first step. It is about disagreeing without disrespect, seeking com-mon ground as a starting point for dialogue about differences, listening past one’s preconcep-tions, and teaching others to do the same.
