• Municipality of about 230.000 inhabitants

• We are responsible for a clean and safe municipality

• We have a vehicle and machinery fleet of about 600 units

• 90 % of our fleet had a diesel engine

• We used 1,5 million liters fuel a year

• We had about 1500 handtools with fuel consumption

• And more of fuel consumption equipment

• Can not be recharged quickly

Electric Hydrogen:• Long action radius, and lighter weight.• Generate energy with hydrogen on the vehicle• Fast filling of energy!

Electric Hydrogen (H2)• Chicken-egg discussion / how to solve• Small chemical process, power station on your vehicle-machine• Time to fill the H2 gas-tank, approx. 3 till 10 minutes• Pressures in Tank 350 (Trucks) or 700 bar (only inside the tank!)• Emission will be 100% cleanest form of water (Circular)• Less own vehicle/machine weight -> More payload• Grey, blue or green hydrogen• No fuel transport for the Hydrogen, we make it local• Useable for all kind of equipment• You must create a hydrogen fuelling point• A today solution for ZERO emission• The costs, today, high• Sun, wind and tidal energy can also be used to stabilize the power network

- Find subsidies- Extension term of the depreciation, (less maintenance costs)- Expension every year with about 4 vehicle/machines.

Create your own strategy, be realistic.• Try to go for green green Hydrogen, This is the opportunity• How to reduce noise pollution.• Municipality 2020 about 25 hydrogen vehicles / machines• Together with market, also for the H2 filling station• We done it together with local parties• Also in a tendering process• When needed first hire before buying.• By enlarging the depreciation period, lesser expected maintenance costs,

subsidies; the TCO with old fuel engines and H2 will become closer

Learning goals• Costs H2, by 2 or 3 with today price level

• New Technology, it could start with risks

• Involve the staff, drivers, be open

• The driver decides and has an important role

• Training workshop engineers and drivers

• Inform safety people, e.g. fire brigade

• Invest into filling station H2, or be involved with it

• Invest in workshop and parking building

• Stay focused, what do you want to achieve: it is the climate change,

CO2 reduction, no emission etc.
