GRESSEL: «gripping» innovations and new products

With the innovative GRESSEL grepos-5X and GRESSEL gredoc, GRESSEL has brought two very in-teresting new products to market.

The 5-axis power clamp grepos-5X (BRW 410 990) is a clamping system optimised for 5-sided and 5-axis simultaneous processing. The work piece is pull-clamped by a mechanical power amplifi er. Featur-ing a clamping range quick-adjust system, the grepos-5X is 100% sealed.

The gredoc quick-change zero point clamping system (BRW 411 240) permits the rapid, positionally accu-rate mounting of work pieces without tilting. With a low-profi le design, the low-maintenance gredoc is mechanically clamped using a massive locating bolt.

The tombstones are available in three different styles (double-sided, triangle, octagon) and three differ-ent versions (without bores, continuous bore hole grid, reduced GRESSEL bore hole grid) for setup on 400 series or 500 series palettes. The innovative R490 cutting insert by Sandvik Coro-mant, BRW 232 490 and BRW 232 492, is now also perfectly suited for use in stainless materials. Grade GC 2040 with the M-MM geometry is the top choice for roughing stainless steel. Grade GC 2030, geom-etry E-ML for fi nishing and dry machining, achieves fi rst-class results. The new cutting inserts under BRW 232 495 are available in stock at Brütsch/Rüeg-ger Tools.

CoroMill® 490 for INOX

Maximum chip volume…with the Multi-Cut VHM high-performance roughing cutter by Franken (BRW 221 870 to 221 890). With its special blade geometry and car-bide substrate, it is suitable for use in various mate-rials such as low and high-alloy steel as well as VA materials up to 1400 N/mm2. Thanks to the three different lengths, ideal deployment conditions up to a depth of 3.5xd1 are always assured. These tools are available from inventory at Brütsch/Rüegger Tools from a diameter of just 3 mm.

With the forward and reverse countersink BRW 224 115, you can deburr your work pieces effi cient-ly and reduce manual post-processing to a mini-mum. Cut 45° bevels on your work pieces quickly and easily with an area of application up to 53 HRC. The resulting surface is fi ner and much more consis-tent compared to manual deburring. This tool also helps you avoid additional clamping for machine deburring and reduces machine times to free up ca-pacity.

The DIXI 4007 carbide reamer (BRW 284 080) allows you to produce all tolerances accurately.The reamer with left-hand rifl ing and a right-hand cut is available in 120 sizes, diameters from 0.48 mm to 12.02 mm with tolerances of 0/0.003 mm.
