Top 100 Strategic Infrastructure Projects in North America:

North America Strategic Infrastructure Leadership Forum

Washington D.C., September 29 - Oct. 1, 2010

Enclosed, you will find list of the Top 100 infrastructure projects in North America. Our overall goal is to identify those projects that are strategic to long-

term competitiveness. Essentially we want to show the projects that, if built, will be the basis for our way of life in 2025.

The total value of these projects is just over US$400 Billion. The US invests roughly 1.3% of GDP in infrastructure (3% was invested in 1980), and so (a)

the market is much smaller than it should be, and (b) to increase North Americas competitiveness we are going to have to be much more creative in terms

of project selection, fast-tracking project preparation, financing and management. A series of White Papers are being prepared for the Leadership Forum

on these topics. The White Papers are supported by our sponsors, and will be presented to participants after September 1, 2010.

We encourage and appreciate your input. Please review the list and give us a sense of which projects - from your city, state or region - we might have

missed. These projects were selected and scored based on the following criteria: (1) contribution to local economic productivity, (2) contribution to global

competitiveness, (3) reliable projections as to opportunity/jobs creation, (4) the immediate business opportunity for participants, and (5) energy productivity,

as measured by avoided carbon metrics. Projects were selected on the basis of competitiveness and opportunity creation leading us to highlight some

conceptual projects that we believe would have a significant impact. Project tables are organized by country of origination and in the case of the U.S.

regionally (East, West, Midwest)

Please give us your ideas about how to both increase the level of investment in competitiveness-defining infrastructure, and the bang for the buck

generated from the funds that are obligated. Just over 50 of these projects will be presented at our upcoming North American Strategic Infrastructure

Leadership Forum, being held in Washington D.C. Sept. 29 - Oct. 1, 2010. The Leadership Forum is a unique infrastructure marketplace, where project

sponsors are given the opportunity to present their projects scope and business development opportunities to a delegation of 450+ participants through a
