Varsity and JV cheer squads PeEll HS – PeEll, WA

Jimmie sanfordVice-President Programs & Curriculum

Jimmie is a former cheerleader and graduate of UCLA. He has coached and choreographed for many national champion-ship high school, college, all-star and professional cheerleading & dance teams throughout the United States, including two Collegiate National Champion-ship titles. Internationally, he has judged and taught cheerleading and dance in various countries such as Colombia, Japan, Guatamala and Singapore. His choreography has been seen worldwide in such events as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Paris & London New Year’s Parades, the Aloha Bowl and several NFL Pro-Bowls. He has worked with artists such as ‘NSYNC, Montell Jordan, Salt ‘n Peppa and 98 Degrees. He has choreographed for the NFL Pro Bowl Cheerleaders, San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos San

Fransisco 49ers and the Los An-geles Clippers. Before Jimmie’s current position with the USA, he directed the Cheerleading and Mascot Program for 16 years. ■

scott andrewsenCheerleading Program Director

Scott graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is a nationally ranked performer, choreographer, and coach for both high school and college cheerleading and mascot teams. He has coached/chor-eographed cheerleading and tumbling for over 10 years in the Salt Lake/Provo, Utah area. Scott has worked as a Head Instructor and staff member for the USA

for the past 12 years. He worked with cheerleaders at both the London New Year’s Day Parade and the halftime show for the Pro Bowl in Oahu, Hawaii. Scott worked as the Mascot Coordina-tor for the Phoenix Suns. He is currently in his 3rd year as a program director for the cheer-leading program. ■

Jesa thorntonCheerleading Program Director

For 17 years Jesa has been teaching and head instructing summer camps for the United Spirit Association. She has been an integral part of their program development team for the past 13 years. Jesa has coached and choreographed for many national championship high schools and all star teams throughout California. Interna-tionally, she has judged cheer and dance Nationals in Japan and has also judged for the past 4 years at the Cheerleading World’s competition in Orlando, Florida. Her choreography has been seen worldwide in such events as the London New Year’s Parade and many NFL games. She has produced and directed pre-game and half time fi eld shows for a sports entertainment company, e2k Productions for over 10 years. She has worked with artists such as ‘NSYNC,

98 Degrees, Santana, Ashlee Simpson, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Mraz, Jasmine Trias from Ameri-can Idol season 3, Don Ho and Lifehouse. ■

Carina olisSongleading/Pom and Pep/Short Flag Program Director

Carina is a graduate from California State University Long Beach, where she danced and choreographed for a champion-ship hip-hop team, PAC Modern. She has worked with nationally ranked song and dance squads nationwide. Carina has choreo-graphed for multiple collegiate and professional dance teams, including the Portland Trailblaz-ers, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, San Diego Charger Girls, and the NFL Pro Bowl Cheerleaders. She is also a for-mer member of the Los Angeles Clipper Spirit Dance Team. Re-cently, Carina danced in “Bring It On: Fight To The Finish” starring Christina Milian. In her sixteen years with the USA, Carina has has been an integral part of the program development for the Songleading/Pom and Pep/Short Flag Programs. Carina has judged for high school, college,

and all star national competi-tions nationwide, and has also traveled internationally to Japan, London and Colombia as a rep-resentative for the USA. She is currently a member of the USASF Dance Worlds committee and is in her 8th year as the Songlead-ing & Pep Flag Program Director for the USA. ■

Junior HigH/middle scHools This tailored camp provides a solid foundation for younger spiritleaders in an atmosphere designed specifically for their needs:

USA Home Camps include workbooks and special awards; however, they do not offer all of the curriculum or highlights of an overnight camp.

Staff housing, travel and food expenses are included in the price for most Home Camps. Additional travel cost may be incurred for certain Home Camp locations.
