off and Running!

Wow it’s hard to believe that we are only 3 months in to 2012. Our Sierra Nevada CRS Chapter has been busy and has quite a year planned for you. Hopefully you joined the 100+ people who attended our first luncheon with short sale attorney Cassell Von Baeyer and plan on joining us for breakfast on Thursday April 5th with real estate expert Steve Harney (he was named by Inman as one of the top 100 most influential people in real estate).

We had almost 50 at our CRS 206 Technology Course, for some it was too basic and for others it was challenging but everyone who attended came home with some great ideas that need to be implemented. It’s time to update your websites, create some cool marketing pieces and go to town because the market is really moving. Inventory is down and if you have been like me you are getting frustrated with the multiple offers. One thing we can say about this career that we have chosen is that it’s not stagnant – it’s a roller coaster so hang on and enjoy the ride.

A couple other events you should know about: We will be joining WCR on June 7th for a Top Producers luncheon so mark your calendar. Friday, June 15, 2012 we will be joining RSAR and cheering on the Reno Aces. Watch for a late summer networking BBQ with Northern Nevada CRS Chapter up at Tahoe.

Have you taken advantage the free and almost free Webinars on CRS.com. There are some great webinars on Facebook, iPad Ap-plications, The Cloud, Staging, Social Fusion, Taxes, Short Sales and more.

We would love to have you get more involved in the local chapter. Help us plan the year, model in the fashion show, and build your network. CRS leadership has changed my life; personally and professionally. It’s increased my confidence, built a network of friends and resources and increased my business with referrals. Consider getting involved! Hope to see you soon.

Proud to be the President of the 2011 Medium Chapter of the Year.

A Certified Residential Specialist is a REALTOR® whohas earned certification from the Council of Residential Specialists by completing a rigorous course of advanced training, and by meeting significant experience require-ments.

Less than 4% of all REALTORS® in the US can call them-selves Certified Residential Specialists (CRS). That’s because just one in 25 REALTORS® has the extensive experience, the unique commitment and the hours of advanced training necessary to call themselves a Certi-fied Residential Specialist.

4 Reasons to work with a CRs Designee:

1. Experience & EthicsTo earn the Certified Residential Specialist Designation every REALTOR® must have a significant mix of experi-ence and volume of real estate transactions. Every Certified Residential Specialist is required to maintain membership in the National Association of REALTORS® and to abide by its strict Code of Ethics.

2. A Focus on Home Buying and SellingTo help make your home buying and selling process more rewarding, every Certified Residential Specialist must have a proven track record in the business, as well as advanced education in related areas like finance, technology & marketing.

3. Technological ExpertiseThe training available to Certified Residential Specialists includes a strong focus on technology and its applica-tion in the real estate business.

4. An Ability to Maximize Profits and Minimize CostsEvery Certified Residential Specialist is trained to help you understand your local market, screen prospective buyers and sellers, negotiate in your best interest and, ultimately, help you enjoy a successful home purchaseor sale.

missing that could help you get even better results?
