What are the admission requirements? It’s important to note that Cal State Fullerton strictly enforces stated application deadlines throughout the admissions process. Students who miss a stated deadline may have their application cancelled or their admission rescinded. To meet minimum eligibility for admission to the California State University, you must meet all of the following requirements*: n 60 transferable semester units (90 quarter units); a maximum of 70 transferable semester (105 quarter) units from a community college may be used toward completion of a degree. n A minimum of 30 semester units (45 quarter units) in CSU- approved general education coursework with grades of C or better. The 30 units must include the “Golden Four” requirements with grades of C or better OR the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC). The “Golden Four” requirements are: Oral Communication Written Communication Critical Thinking Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning n California residents must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (C) or better in all transferable units attempted. Outside of the local admissions area, which includes all Orange County community colleges, the GPA requirement will be higher. Since we are an impacted campus, even applicants from the local admissions area will be required to meet a higher GPA requirement than the minimum 2.0 requirement. To ensure a fair process for all applicants, the GPA requirement will not be determined until after the initial filing period is over. Cal State Fullerton’s Transfer Center provides peer advising, admissions information, CSU application assistance and campus referrals for prospective California community college transfer students.
