to Sec 5N(a) ELMAB3 (English Language, Mathematics and

best three other subjects) aggregate score of 19

points or less; and

(b) At least an N(A)-level grade 5 for all subjects

used in the computation of ELMAB3.

** For NA pupils taking ‘O’ Level subjects, you

could still apply for promotion to Sec 5N(A) or

retention in Sec 4N(A) based on a combination

of your GCE O- and N(A)-Level results.

DPP and PFP

► Pupils who do well in the examinations may be eligible for the Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP) or the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP).

Direct-Entry-Scheme-to-Polytechnic (DES-to-Poly) Programme

► assured of either a first- or second-year place in a related Polytechnic Diploma course, provided they achieve the qualifying ITE Grade Point Average (GPA) in their Higher Nitec programme

► top 11th-percentile to 30th percentile of the Sec 4N(A) cohort

Eligibility Criteria

► Starting from the Sec 4N(A) cohort taking the 2012 GCE ‘N’-Level examinations, students who obtained an ELMAB3 (English, Math, Best 3 Subjects) raw aggregate score of 19 points or better(excluding CCA bonus points) at the GCE ‘N’-Level examination will be eligible to apply to the DES-to-Poly Programme

Submission of Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)

Applications► Pupils eligible for the Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP) will also receive a copy of Form N, inviting them to apply for the DPP.

► Pupils eligible for DPP should submit their DPP applications online via the DPP application portal (www.ite.edu.sg/wps/portal/intake/) between 2.00 pm on 19 December 2013 and 5.00 pm on 23 December 2013.

Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)Posting Results

► The DPP posting results will be released at 9.00 am on Thursday, 26 December 2013.

► Pupils are required to log on to the DPP application portal between 9.00 am on 26 December 2013 and 4.00 pm on 30 December 2013 to indicate whether they wish to accept or reject the DPP offer. Students who reject their DPP offer will be required to report back to their secondary schools on Thursday, 2 January 2014 for Secondary 5.

► Please apply for Sec 5 even if you have applied for DPP.

Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)

►Application for the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) will commence later in January 2014, on the day when the results of the GCE Ordinary Level Examinations are released. On the same day, pupils eligible for the PFP will receive a copy of Form P, inviting them to apply for the PFP.

► Pupils interested in applying to the PFP should first progress to Secondary 5 on 2 January 2014, while waiting for the outcome of the PFP posting.

In summary (for PFP and DPP),

a) Students who are only interested in applying for the PFP should first progress to Sec 5, even if they meet the PFP eligibility criteria based on their N(A)-Level results in December. They may then apply for the PFP upon release of the GCE O-Level results. If their application is successful, they will withdraw from Sec 5 by the end of January.

b) Students who are only interested in applying for the DPP should apply for the DPP once they receive their N(A)-Level results in December. Should they accept a DPP offer, they should not return to their secondary schools for Sec 5.

In summary (for PFP and DPP), c) Students who are interested in applying for both the PFP and DPP, may choose either of the following:

i. If students are certain that they do not want to continue with Sec 5 and pursue the GCE O-Levels, they may apply for the DPP once they receive their N(A)-Level results in December. Should they accept a DPP offer, they should not return to their secondary schools for Sec 5. Upon the release of the GCE O-Level results in January, eligible students may apply for the PFP. If they are offered and accept a PFP place, they will withdraw from the DPP.

ii. Alternatively, students may progress to Sec 5 first. Upon release of the GCE O-Level results in January, eligible students may then apply for the PFP and DPP concurrently. If their application is successful, they will withdraw from Sec 5 by the end of January.

Starting from the 2013 cohort, Sec 4N(T) students with 0 or 1 N-level subject passwill be given the option to enrol into a pilot enhanced NitecFoundation Programme (e-NFP).The e-NFP will help these students build the necessary foundationsto successfully complete their Niteccourses.

► You may use the computer terminals in our school library (Mon – Fri : 9.00am – 4.30pm)

► Registration begins from between 2.00 pm on 19 December 2013 and 5.00 pm on 23 December 2013.

►You are allowed 10 choices for full-time courses.

►Rank and enter your choices in order of preference.

►On the application forms, use the campus and course codes listed in the booklet.

►Remember to print your VERIFICATION SLIP (VS).

• Use the Web ID and password on your VS to check result of your application on 26 Dec 2013 and 2 Jan 2014 for DPP and NitecCourses respectively or check directly with registration officer at any ITE campus.

• This applies to all courses except for courses with interview/drawing test.

►Accept offer via Internet from 26 Dec 2013 and 2 Jan 2014 for DPP and Nitec Courses respectively

►ITE Courses will commence on 8 January 2014.

Acceptance of Offer

►Closing date for the application for appeal of resultsand the payment of appeal fees is Tuesday, 27 December 2013.

►Appeal is $102.70 per subject

► The reason for candidate’s appeal for review of results and the subject teacher’s comments on the candidate’s performance in the subject must be entered in the relevant sections.

► The Principal’s comments and recommendation for the candidate’s appeal should also be provided.

►The forms are available in the GO.

►Check that your particulars are printed correctly. These particulars will appear on your N Level certificate.

► If there are any mistakes in your particulars or you wish to appeal for review of results, please see MsTan HY by the end of today’s session.
