there was a greatly celebrated General and later CIA Director named David Petraeus.

He was so influential that he had a biography written by an academic called Paula

Broadwell. In the midst of all this intense note taking and interviewing, they had an affair

and opened joint email accounts so they could fool around in the draft folders. Around

the same time, Jill Kelley, a Petraeus family friend, started to loom on the horizon. As Jill

drew closer to David, Paula grew suspicious and - dare we say - jealous, and sent harassing

emails to Jill under the highly threatening moniker kelleypatrol. Jill became worried

and passed these emails on to a personal friend who was thankfully an FBI Agent. Mr

FBI Agent was a great multi-tasker: he was able to direct the inquiry up to the correct

FBI department, send shirtless photos of himself back to Jill AND have the time to be

so incorrectly paranoid about a possible national security cover-up that he reported his

personal suspicions directly to the Republican House majority leader, Eric Cantor, who

then contacted Robert Muller, the FBI Director, to ask what the h*** was going on. In

the meantime, other hardworking FBI agents upgraded the cyberstalking inquiry into

a full-fledged criminal investigation so they could read more personal emails and cart

away peoples computers. Because this is a fair society, they read Jills other emails too

and managed to find another(!) golden boy four-star General, John R. Allen. John and

Jill were really friendly, exchanging thousands of emails that raised so many questions

of impropriety that his promotion had to be postponed for a wee bit. To cut a long story

short, David - remember him? - resigned so that he could retire to his country manor and

have his HEA with his furious wife.
