Doane College vs. Hastings College

Doane and Hastings is the longest running football rivalry in the state of Nebraska as these teams will hook up for the 113th time Saturday afternoon in Crete. Doane has won the last two meetings in the rivalry and trail the all-time series 52-50-10.

Scouting Hastings... the Broncos may be considered an early surprise team in the conference race, mostly because of the explosive offense they have displayed through the first two games this season. With the 2-0 start, the Broncos are now receiving votes in the NAIA poll.

The Broncos rank fourth in the NAIA in scoring offense with 54.5 points per game. They rank second in total offense, posting 601.5 yards per game. The run game has averaged 322.5 yards a game, fifth in the NAIA.

Ramiro Flores leads the rushing attack with 99.5 yards per game, 15th best in the NAIA. Matt Overmiller is averaging 232 yards per game through the air and his top target has been Austin Curlee. Curlee is averaging 5.0 receptions per game.
