81% OF PRODUCT MANAGERS have no confidence in the quality of their analytics data. In fact, 30% admit they never collect or review it, and 15% do it only once a year.

Product managers agree on two leading challenges:

a. Getting consensus on roadmapsb. Understanding the business value of

individual features

A whopping 29% of all product managers admit they NEVER collect analytics data such as feature usage or adoption rates. Another 14% do it only once a year.

30% of all product managers admit they NEVER review this data, and 16% do it only once a year.

Not surprisingly, the percentage is higher for enterprise/desktop product managers. 35% of them never collect or review analytics data.

Surprisingly, SaaS isn’t doing much better. 24% never collect or review such analytics data.

Product reports are largely an after thought, as 3 out of 4 product managers spend only less than an hour on them each week.

Only 19% of product managers feel confident that the quality of their analytics data is good enough. In fact, 21% admit they are guessing most of the time.

A whopping 65% of product managers see software analytics as a key requirement when building a product strategy.
