Chair

Dear Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce Members,

Thank you for investing in your business through Membership in the

Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Daytona Beach Area is

looking at unprecedented growth with the redevelopment of Daytona

International Speedway with Daytona Rising, One Daytona, the Cici and

Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, Hard Rock Hotel and Prototype

developments, the exciting work at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical

University, Trader Joe’s Distribution Center, and the refurbishment of

many hotels on our beach side. It is now more critical than ever that the

Daytona Regional Chamber is ready to lead this great evolution of our

community in a positive manner that benefits both our businesses and

the community as a whole. We need to make sure that Public/Private

partnerships and policies are created to ensure that our growth is

sustainable for the long term.

The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce has successfully been in

existence for 95 years. I am honored to serve as this year’s Chairman

of the Board. The Daytona Regional Chamber is made up of more than

950 business members and has a Board of some 50 prominent

community leaders. The commitment of our members and Board

members to improve business in our area is crucial to the success of

everyone in our community. I want to particularly express my

appreciation to the Board members and other committee members for

the hard work they put in to make the Chamber successful.

We are fortunate to have a very experienced President & CEO in Nancy

Keefer to lead our great organization. Nancy brings years of chamber

experience and has accomplished a great deal in her first year of work

with the organization. I am excited to be working with Nancy and look

forward to moving the Daytona Regional Chamber forward in 2015.

The Daytona Regional Chamber will continue to advocate for our

member businesses and our community. We will provide opportunities

for you as a member to grow your business through networking,

advocating good governmental policy, monitoring tax rates on

businesses at local and state levels, and creating a business

environment that is conducive to growth.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you for providing me this great honor to serve as your 2015
