Dear Friends of IIDA Southern California,
The International Interior Design Association connects the Commercial Interior Design Industry to ideas, opportunities, and experts through programs that expand the knowledge of the professionals who create environments that matter. IIDA seeks to advance Interior Design through education, legislation, leadership, design excellence, accreditation, and community outreach.
Founded in 1995, the Southern California Chapter is one of the largest with 900 members in our five City Centers: Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and Santa Barbara. 2015 has been an amazing year for our members and our Southern California design community! Led by a committed Board of Directors and supported by myriad enthusiastic volunteers, our Chapter team creates over 60 events that offered education, networking opportunities, and professional development, all the while supporting legislative efforts, student membership and emerging leaders. We have been able to achieve this success thanks to your generous support!
In the coming year, our focus is twofold; first is to LEVERAGE our collective and individual expertise, best practices and opportunities to provide the best value to design leaders and industry partners, by creating content-rich programs and forums for inspiration that will drive engagement. Secondly, we will strive to increase CONNECTIVITY to and between industry members,

ABOUT OURCHAPTER
CITY CENTER EVENTS
City Center Fashion ShowsEach year, we hold fashion show events throughout Southern California. These couture runway events feature a cohesive theme around which architects, designers and students create custom outfits, created using typical interior design finish materials.
Speakers SeriesWe host a series of lectures twice a year in the spring and fall with a leading design industry luminary speaking about design issues relevant to all. CEU credits are also available.
These events are included in Chapter Sponsor packages.

Calibre AwardsThe Calibre Design Awards recognizes design excellence in commercial interior design in Southern California, and acknowledges the teamwork required to deliver outstanding design. The Calibre Design Awards will be held May 13, 2016.
Leaders BreakfastLeaders Breakfast is an annual breakfast event in September. It features a compelling keynote speaker to inspire attendees. During the event, we also honor someone in the local design community for their contributions to the industry.
