Mileage Club Volunteers Needed! This great program has been promoting fitness by encouraging kids to run laps at their lunch recess for many years! Duties include marking down who runs a lap and how many they run. It's

THAT easy to be involved and serve the school! You can even bring younger children along. The time frame is 11:20 - 12:50 on Tuesday/Thursday. Please consider serving, even 1 day a month would make a huge difference. Please contact Ann Stockero @ [email protected].

Basketball Information is here! The 2017-2018 season began on Monday, November 6th. Please

read all material carefully, and make note of important dates and practice times. It is very important that your child attend the split session to ensure proper evaluation and correct team splits. See full information here.

After splits are conducted, practices will be finalized by the coaches. 5th and 6th grade are allowed 2 – 1.5 hour practices a week (3 hours total) and the 7th & 8th grade are allowed 2- 2 hour practices a week (4 hours total). There is only 1 team for 5th, 6th and 8th grade girls, as well as 1 team for 7th grade boys, so there are no splits for them. Practices for these teams can start on Monday, November 6th. The coaches will be in contact with you regarding practice times. Practices for all other teams will be scheduled after splits through your child’s coach.

League Games Start December 2nd and 3rd: This year’s league games will start the first weekend in December. The last scheduled league game will be February 24-25. An e-mail as to the date and time of uniform distribution will be sent later. I hope the 2017-2018 basketball season will be a safe and positive experience for all kids in the program, and I look forward to a successful basketball season. Thank you! Eric Susek, Holy Apostles Basketball Coordinator (715) 551-9429, [email protected]

Congratulations to five HA boys who helped lead the Catholic Memorial Jr. Crusaders 6th grade football team to a 7-2 record this season. Aside from exhibiting the energy and focus to play both offense and

defense as the Jr. Crusaders had one of the smaller teams in the league, these boys demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship before, during, and after every single game with their teammates and the opposing teams. They were dedicated students during practices, team captains before the games, leaders during pre-game prayer, on-the-field generals that Coach Miklosy could count on during the games, and grateful sons after the games. Your parents are very proud of you boys! In addition, all of these boys also participate in HA Basketball and Track. 2017 Jr Crusader Football Season Achievements by HA Athlete: Ryan Czarnecki posted 8 tackles, ran in an extra point, fielded 2 punts, recovered 4 fumbles, hauled in 2 receptions, and scored a touchdown.

Matthew Miklosy posted 34.5 tackles, 0.5 sacks, forced a fumble, intercepted a pass, fielded 2 kickoffs, hauled in 3 receptions, ran for over 400 yards, and scored 5 touchdowns.

Bryce Roder posted 37.5 tackles, recovered 2 fumbles, ran for over 300 yards, and scored 3 touchdowns.

Ben Kalawa posted 11 tackles and 2 sacks, ran for over 200 yards, scored 2 touchdowns, ran in an extra point, and fielded a kickoff.

Henry Walden posted 19 tackles, grabbed 2 interceptions, fielded a punt, grabbed 6 receptions, and scored an extra point.

The club visits Alpine Valley Resort six times per season, either on Friday nights or Sunday afternoons. Beginner to Advanced skiers / snowboarders are welcome. All members of the student's family receive the discounted rates that Alpine Valley offers us. If you are interested, please contact Carol Roder ([email protected]) or Kelly Neitzke ([email protected]) We will have a booth set up with more information in front of the office during Parent-Teacher Conferences.
