Students and scientists explore
complex systems and general signal processing at the modern
workplace. They cooperate with
European fisheries institutions
where is a need to sort, store
and process experimental data.
Administrative center of the faculty

management facilities focused
on international students´ summer school, lifelong learning, workshops,
promotion and management of projects.
Four-week course within which you are involved in a small research project.
Work in very well-equipped laboratories under the guidance of experienced
researchers of the FFPW USB.
Excursions to fish farms and the other interesting places.
Professional, perfectly prepared lectures of leading Czech and foreign researchers
represent another part of the International Summer School´s program.
Another interesting aspect of the course is a stay in an international team. That´s
why we expect candidates with at least partial knowledge of English language.
The International Summer School program is intended for universtity students
BSc., MSc. and Ph.D. students.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
In your free time you will have free
program according to your interests:
tourism (the Šumava mountains,
Prachatice, Český Krumlov, Helfenburg,
etc.), sports (volleyball, tennis,
swimming, etc.), culture (visit of nearby
theatres, or cinemas, museums in
Vodňany, crocodile ZOO Protivín,
Lomec, museum at the Secondary
fisheries school).
We will show you the accommodation,
make necessary paperwork with you and
introduce the coordinators of the ISS
program during the first day of the
International Summer School, when you
arrive.
Next day you will have to follow safety
trainings and then lectures will start. You
will meet your project leader and start to
work on the project. You will visit the main
building and other fishery facilities of the
FFPW USB.
The detailed program will be published
on our website in March 2018.
ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER BENEFITS
There is a full board - breakfast, lunch
and dinner. Besides this you can buy
your own food. There are supermarkets
and some small shops on the square
close to the IEEAIC centre. There are
some local restaurants where you may
eat, on your own (Restaurant Blanice,
Zlatý soudek restaurant, Zdravé bistro -
health and non-meat food).
You will be accommodated at the IEEAIC
centre Vodňany. There are very well
equipped rooms with private bathrooms -
WC and shower. There are double rooms
so you will share your room with a
colleague from different country.
Beds, sheets, blankets and towels are
provided.
The accommodation is non smoking. The
IEEAIC centre has a Wi-Fi free.

You will be notified if you have been accepted to our International Summer
School no later than 15th April 2018 and therefore, you can look forward to spend
a pleasant month, which will surely represent an important experience for your
future.
EXPENSES
The International Summer School is supported by the budget of the Faculty
of Fisheries and Protection of Waters USB and the project IP 2016 - 2018.

SOME USEFUL INFORMATION
The Czech Republic is an EU country so EU citizens need only a valid ID card.
For other countries check your requirements, we are suggesting you
to take your valid passport and contact your embassy.
Don´t forget to have your insurance card with you, wherever you go.
Send us an information about your transportation, time of arrival and
departure, because of the first meeting with a faculty member.
The transport to Vodňany is up to you.
