Boasting modern equipment and featuring areas whichallow it to cater to the most varied needs, Teatro Micaelense successfully hosts national and international congresses of small and medium scale and the most diverse types of professional, cultural and social events.

It is endowed with an Auditorium that seats 745 people, which allow adjusting to different scales of needs, enabling the holding of business meetings, exhibition areas, meal areas, gala dinners and various festivities.

To assist you in the making of memorable moments, we have developed refined ambiances, where the magic of a Theater is brought together with the experience, professionalism and quality of a differentiated service.

FOYER

Located at the Theatre’s entrance, the Foyer gives access to the Auditorium and the upper levels. With 318 m2, this area allows the installation of exhibits, reception spaces and welcome desks, as well as catering services, such as cocktails and coffee breaks.

AUDITORIUM

With a seating capacity of 745 seats (6 of which are for wheelchairs), the Auditorium is ideal for larger events. It is fully equipped to host meetings and conferences, as well as all sorts of performing arts and entertainment events.

NOBLE HALL

For its characteristics and charm, with its great chandeliers and mirrors, the Noble Hall is the perfect room for hosting formal dinners and other parties. Located on the Theater’s first floor, and with an area of 296 m2, this is Teatro Micaelense’s most versatile room, being also excellent for classroom, U shaped or theatre style meetings, as well as for exhibits.

NATÁLIA CORREIA ROOM MEETING ROOM 1

Located on the first floor, the Natália Correia Room is excellent for hosting smaller meetings and training activities. With a seating capacity of 60 seats, in theatre style, and 35, in U shape, this room is situated near the Theatre’s bar, the Noble Hall, and the entrance to the Auditorium’s Balcony.

The Antero de Quental Room is the largest of the 3 contiguous rooms located on the second floor. With an area of 230 m2, This room is best suited for theatre style and round table meetings, as well as exhibitions. This room’s entrance adjoins a mezzanine overlooking the Noble Hall and can be used for cocktails and coffee breaks.

GENERAL TERMS OF USE

All halls are leased with acclimatization and lighting systems and with their corresponding furnishings, in accordance with the chosen layout (Theater; School; Round Table; “U” Table; folding writing table or other). Changes to the confirmed layout on the day of the event will be charged at 10% of the space value. Other layout changes will be budgeted case by case.

The working hours of Teatro Micaelense – Cultural Center and Congress Hall are from 9h00 to 12h30 and from 14h00 to 18h00, on working days. Any change to the working hours will be budgeted, case by case, in accordance to what is solicited by the client.

The audiovisual, sound and light equipment in operation at Teatro Micaelense – Cultural Center and Congress Hall is supplied by Teatro Micaelense or by bodies hired by it for that effect.

The price of spaces does not include allocation of technical and/or audiovisual equipment, which will be budgeted case by case.

The catering service is supplied by companies hired by Teatro Micaelense, except if agreed otherwise.

The hosting service is supplied by Teatro Micaelense or by a company hired by it for that effect.

Any additional costs pertaining to the reinforcement of security measures or hygiene measures determined by the holding of the events are of the responsibility of the event organizers.

The times of assembly/disassembly are charged in accordance with the price table in force and must take place during the assigned period. In case disassembly exceeds the agreed period a fee will be charged, corresponding to 50% of the price.

Except in the case of previous agreement in writing by Teatro Micaelense, no structural or decorative change can be made in the areas leased and the client cannot, without previous consent, post, nail or glue anything on the walls, pavement, pillars, ceiling, etc., nor can he cut or pierce these elements.

If the leased space is not returned in the conditions in which it was found, Teatro Micaelense will have the necessary reparations executed and will attribute the corresponding expenses and costs to the user.

A reservation is assured with the payment of 10% of the budgeted price; When the service is contracted, and/or signing of the use contract takes place, payment of 20% of the price must be carried out; The payment of the remainder 70% takes place up to 30 days after the date of the event. In case of full cash payment until the day before the event takes place, a discount of 5% will be applied to the price. Any delay in payment will imply the payment of interest at the legal rate.

Events scheduled for Christmas days (24th, 25th and/or 26th of December) will be charged an extra fee, corresponding to 200% of the price. Events scheduled for Easter (from Friday to Sunday) and on the 31st of December and 1st of January will be charged an extra fee, corresponding to 100% of the price.

Cancelling or postponing a confirmed and invoiced event up to 30 days before its start will imply the payment of 10% of the budgeted space value. Any cancellation or postponing after this deadline will imply retention, as compensation, of the 30% already received.
