As we all know 2020 has been a year of challenges and changes. We have adapted by providing curbside pick up at the Nursery which will continue into 2021. We have seen and heard from our customers that they are very engaged in establishing a larger tree canopy, creating sustainable gardens and making a difference in their own environmental footprint. We will continue to focus and adapt and meet the needs of our Conservation Authorities, City Parks and Contractors. We wish all a safe and prosperous 2021 and lets all continue to work together, keep safe and help green up our Canada!

CARE OF PLANTS UPON ARRIVALThe package should be opened immediately, inspected for proper quantities, and checked for damage. The plant material, if not planted immediately, should be stored in a cool location. Alternatively, you can “heel in” the plants. This means digging a trench deep enough to cover the roots, then placing the bundles of the plants upright in the trench, and covering the roots with soil. The plants should be watered. When planting, DO NOT allow the roots to be exposed to hot sun and drying winds. Plants are often ruined after pick-up or delivery as they are not planted soon enough or kept at high temperatures.

Prices: All prices are F.O.B. Pontypool, Ontario, and are for the spring and fall of 2021. Prices are subject to change without notice. We are sorry, but we do not accept C.O.D. orders. Payment(s) must be made by cash, cheque, moneyorder, VISA or MasterCard. Fee for an NSF cheque is $45.00. Note: VISA or MasterCard purchases that amount exceeds $2,000.00 will be charged a service fee of 2%.

Terms: A deposit of at least 25% must accompany all orders, and the balance paid in full 15 days prior to shipment. If an order is cancelled after March 20th, we reserve the right to keep the deposit.

Warranty: To provide plants true to name, as set forth in our catalogue. If upon proper proof, our nursery stock should prove to be not true to name, a replacement of the proper plants, or a substitute of equal value will be made upon return of the improper material. Any nursery stock that is damaged in shipping must be reported to the seller immediately upon receipt of the stock from the carrier. This can be reported in writing or by phone. A claim will then be filed with the carrier. If claim is valid, seller will replace damaged nursery stock. No claims will be honoured for nursery stock picked up by the buyer from the nursery one (1) or more days later than the exact pick up date as specified on the order by the buyer. Claims for replacements will be considered only on losses of over forty percent (40%) on seedlings and losses of over 40% on transplants, rooted cuttings, potted, and container plants. IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED BETWEEN PURCHASER AND SELLER THAT THE SELLER WILL NOT AT ANY TIME BE LIABLE FOR ANY AMOUNT GREATER THAN THE ORIGINAL PRICE OF THE NURSERY STOCK.

Claims: Check plants on arrival. Please report problems or shortages immediately, a formal claim must be in writing and must be received within 5 days of receipt of trees. If replacements are made for any reason buyer is responsible for paying freight charges.

General InformationWe are growers of bareroot and container stock. Most of our plant material is grown in open fields for one or more growing seasons. We then dig in early Spring or Fall. The plant material is then graded by size, counted into bundles, and stored until shipping. We propagate most of our nursery stock from seed, and produce seedlings that are true to the zone(s) of Canada. Shipping: *In the event actual shipping costs exceed the shipping estimate, you will be billed and are responsible for paying the difference. The items specifically marked with * on your confirmation or with a footnote in the catalogue or website will exceed the shipping estimate in most cases. On these items nursery pick up is suggested if buyers want to avoid extra shipping costs. If you paid by credit card, the exact shipping charges will be billed to the same card
