Materials: Cascade Yarn’s 220 Superwash Paints color 9997: 5 (5, 6) skeins Knitting needles size 8 Gauge: 4.5 sts = 1” Sizes: 34-36 (38-40, 42-44) The body of the bolero is constructed in one piece starting at the collar edge, which folds back. It is im-portant to use a stretchy cast on for this reason. The collar will snuggle up the back of your neck. Double Seed Stitch Pattern Row 1: *K1, P1* repeat between *’s across. Row 2: Knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches as they face you. Row 3: *P1, K1* repeat between *’s across. Row 4: Repeat row 2. Repeat rows 1-4 for pattern. BODY Cast on 262 (264, 272) sts. Work in Double Seed Stitch Pattern for 6” (6 ½”, 7”) Decrease Row: Work 2 sts together across row in pattern. (Knit two sts together, purl two sts together if you were on row 1 or 2) 130 (132, 136) sts. Continue in pattern as established and work until total length measures 9 ½” (10”, 10”) Place marker on each end. Continue in pattern until 14 ½ (15”, 15 ½” ) from last marker and place another marker at both ends. Continue in pattern until 9 ½” (10”, 10”) from last marker and bind off in pattern. SLEEVES With right side facing, pick up and knit 70 (72, 74) sts between markers. Work 2 rows even in pattern. Keeping continuity of pattern increase 1 st at each end every 2 rows to 82 (84. 86) sts. Work even until length of sleeve is 6” (6 ½”, 7”). Bind off in pattern. Sew side and sleeve seams. Weave in all ends. Steam collar edge slightly to shape out.
