FROM THE DESK OF OUR PRINCIPAL
Welcome to Week 7 of Term 4.
Giinagay, Hello
Welcome to Week 7 of Term 4.
Thank you to all our students and staff for your ongoing cooperation as we settled back into school last week. Many activities
and breaks were reorganised to indoors whilst we monitored the smoke in the air.
Tomorrow is our final 2020 Kindergarten Orientation session with a Teddy Bears Picnic organised.
Non and weak swimmers in Years 2—4 have been participating in the NSW DET Special Swimming Scheme and have been
travelling to Sawtell Public Swimming Pool to participate. Thank you to Mr Ferguson for organising this and to the attending
teachers who supervise.
Teachers are currently commencing report writing and organising the many activities which occur as part of the end of the
school year.
Mrs Koufis is leading a review and update of the Wellbeing Policy, you are invited to provide input this Friday at 2:30 pm in the
library.
Have a great week.

Giinagay Tyalla Community,
I am Becky Bursle. I have a long history at Tyalla which began when I was a
student here in Year 6. In 2002, I was fortunate enough to return as a teacher
and I am now in my 18th year teaching at our wonderful school.
Being a teacher is really rewarding. I love having a positive impact on the lives
of our students. I have always believed that people learn best when they are
having fun in an inviting and friendly environment and so I endeavour to create
a classroom where everyone feels safe to share and where we all respect each
other. I have an amazing 3/4 class this year who are super learners.
At home I am surrounded by boys! Will, Riley and Leo are my three awesome
kids and we have a big, beautiful, boof headed dog who they named Loki. After
school and on the weekends we enjoy swimming, taking Loki for walks, riding
bikes and scooters, playing tips or hide and seek, listening to music and
dancing. We also love snuggling together and watching movies. My boys give
me lots of reasons to smile and I love being their mum more than anything
else.
