The Ascension of the Lord

I am so happy that we are prepared to welcome you back to Church! We have safe practices to follow and have folks in place to disinfect the church after each mass. Church will be opened only for scheduled masses to keep the space clean. The use of masks by everyone; keeping the 6 foot distance from all except our household; and sanitizing our hands are what we are expected to practice. This means the priest will distribute communion with a mask on; sanitize his hands be-fore mass and before distributing communion. All staff will take their daily tempera-ture and stay at home if we have any symptoms keeping you safe. We need you to call Susan Franke at the Office to reserve a seat for mass or recep-tion of communion. Households will sit together. Ushers will assist us in the seating of all attending. We have marked the pews for proper spacing. The number who can attend is limited to those seats which comply with the safe distance. You may al-ready have received my letter today or you will on Monday which gives details for this process. Susan will help you with your questions. We will continue to live-stream on face-book and record the 4pm Saturday mass and the 9 am Sunday mass in which you may participate from the safety at home. For those who do not go to the Grocery or your children want you to stay safe at home, please do so. We want to bring you Holy communion to your front door. Since the numbers who can be seated for a mass is limited, we are scheduling the reception of communion after the 4pm and the 11am masses. 50 persons will be served every half hour to diminish any crowding difficulties. Susan can register you and your household to receive and give you the time to arrive. For those who feel safe enough to only go to the grocery or doctor, consider receiv-ing communion after mass. Our process allows you to touch no surface except the Host. You will be in church about 3 minutes. This is very safe. All who can attend mass, we encourage you to do so wearing a mask; staying the safe distance; and sanitizing your hands. We are filming a demonstration and will post on FaceBook so you can see what this looks like. Private adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be scheduled in the West Sacristy. I thank all our faithful who have prayed for all of us while in the presence of the Body

of Christ in this most holy sacrament.

The St. Joseph Men’s Club is hosting its Annual Golf Scramble fund-raising event

Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the Maywood Golf Course in Bardstown.

The event begins with registration and box lunch provided by Maywood Country Club at 12:00pm followed by a Shotgun Start at 1:00pm. The entry fee is $85/person which includes lunch, and various refreshments/snacks served during the event.

Prizes will be awarded for: Top 3 teams, Longest drive (Men’s and Women’s)

Closest to pin (2 holes) In addition, Door Prizes will be drawn from all scorecards.

Various sponsorship options are available for area businesses.
