WHAT IS 5S…?
5S represents 5 disciplines for maintaining a visual workplace (visual controls and information systems).
These are foundational to Kaizen (continuous improvement) and a manufacturing strategy based "Lean Manufacturing" (waste removing) concepts.
5S is one of the activities that will help ensure our company’s survival.
Answer is:
1st S- “SORT” Decide what you need
Remove unnecessary clutter
All tools, gauges, materials, classified and then stored
Remove items which are broken, unusable or only occasionally used

CONCLUSION
Although 5S will not solve today’s competitive challenges, it does provide a solid foundation for achieving operational excellence. In fact, some world-class companies claim that there can be no improvement without 5S.
The teamwork and discipline built through 5S improve worker-to-worker and worker-to-manager relationships. When people see that what they do makes a difference, and when they see that they have eliminated wasteful practices, their pride grows. This is perhaps the greatest benefit of 5S.
