Flawless Male Logic

The following is a conversation between a man and his wife. You’ll see that she asks 5 or 6 questions, which are answered quite simply.

She is speechless after being asked only one question. Woman: Do you drink beer? Man: Yes Woman: How many beers a day? Man: Usually about 3 Woman: How much do you pay per beer? Man: $5.00 which includes a tip (This is where it gets scary !) Woman: And how long have you been drinking? Man: About 20 years, I suppose Woman: So a beer costs $5.00 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at $450.00. In one year, it would be approximately $5400.00 correct? Man: Correct Woman: If in 1 year you spend $5400.00, not accounting for inflation, the past 20 years puts your spending at $108,000.00 correct? Man: Correct Woman: Do you know that if you didn't drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari?

Man: Do you drink beer? Woman: No. Man: Where's your Ferrari?

A Little Humor

The Fourth of July weekend was approaching, and Miss Pelham, the nursery school teacher, took the opportunity to tell her class about patriotism. 'We live in a great country,' she announced. 'One of the things we should be happy about is that, in this country, we are all free.' Trevor, who was a little boy in her class, came walking up to her from the back of the room. He stood with his hands on his hips and said loudly, 'I'm not free. I'm four.'

18-Hole Golf Report

We are officially halfway through the year. June saw comparatively mild weather for this time of year and made for a couple great days of golf. The Mt. Shasta event had 31 players. Thanks to Larry Andrews and Justin Clandening for handling the event in my absence. A couple weeks later we made the same trek (almost) up to play McCloud. 22 players made it up for a terrific day of golf. We played two loops on the 9 hole track. Interesting how a couple of the holes play completely dif-ferent based on tee location. Greens needed a little work but all in all it was a fun day.

Mt Shasta Results

Skins went to John McCue, Pete Rowland, Willie Lawson, Howard Hughes, Geoff Neely, Bruce Maddox, Brad Bunnell, Justin Clandening, Clark Morehead. All with net eagles on a hole not covered.

McCloud Results

Skins went to Warren Mindestrom, Bruce Maddox, Tom Sparrowe, Clark Morehead.

Next up is Fall River on July 8th...sign up and fill the course with SIR!

Sir Fishing Report June 2019 By Jay Liu

May Fishing Meeting (2nd Wednesday of the Month @ the Country Waffle Restaurant)

I talked about current conditions on Shasta Lake and Trinity Lake

SACRAMENTO RIVER Salmon Salmon season is closed. Trout: The flow is 10965 CFS and trout fishing is pretty good from south Bonneville Bridge to the

Sundial Bridge. I did not get a report on the lures of choice. SHASTA LAKE

Bass: The lake is 7 feet down and dropping about 1/3 foot a day. Fishing is wide open, top water is just starting to turn on early in the morning then go to bottom baits. Most of the fish are around 25 to 35 feet down. The baits of choice are Swim baits, flickshake worm on a ball head, Ned rig TRD and Hula grubs. NOTE: THERE ARE STILL LOTS OF FLOATING TIMBER, SO BE CAREFUL AND WEAR YOUR LIFE JACKETS.

Trout: The trout fishing is starting to pick up. They are trolling 30 to 60 feet down and the speed is

2 to 5 miles The lures of choice are Kast Masters in shad color, Meps Spinners (black with yellow dots), Bass Rat and the Optimizer.

Kokanee and Big Kings: I did not get any report on the Kokanee or Kings.

TRINITY LAKE

Bass: Trinity lake is down 8 feet and holding. The bite is pretty good and getting better as the wa-ter warms up. Most of my fish are starting to show up on points or off shore rock piles.

Trout and Kokanee: No report

WHISKYTOWN

Bass: I heard that there is a good bite for bass. They have moved out from the banks and starting to show up off shore on island tops. Use drop shots or small swim baits.

Trout and Kokanee: I heard that the Kokanee haven’t shown up yet and the bite is tough.

Computer Users Microsoft will stop issuing security updates for Windows 7 soon. You have until just after the end of the year to convert to Windows 10.

There is a risk that hackers may infect your computer or your network after the support ends if you do not upgrade. Remember if you go on the internet after January 14, 2020 using Windows 7, you run a risk. If you are using your computer only off-line, like letter writing, games, spread-sheets or the like, then there is no concern. If you have an older computer, you may want to consider buying a new computer. The main reason to continue to use Windows 7 is that there are some programs that do not work with Windows 10. Here is info from the Microsoft web site. What does end of support really mean?

To avoid security risks and viruses, Microsoft recommends you upgrade to Windows 10.

Join Fred and John after lunch to talk about your computer related problems.

If you continue to use Windows 7 after support has ended, your PC will still work, but it may become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. Your PC will continue to start and run, but Microsoft will no longer provide the following support for your business.

Branch 129 6240 Gold Hills Court Redding CA 96003

Sunshine Report As we enter the typical Redding Summer, we're discovering it's not so typical. I'll take the 90's any day! It's the month of celebrating our Independence and being thankful to be Americans. Our lives are so blessed even though we must endure life's process. Our sympathy goes out to Cloyd Buck as he lost his wife of 40 years the middle of June. Her celebration of life has not yet been announced. Our past Big SIR, Harry Tully has been battling, very courageously, some pretty debilitating setbacks. He's been a trooper and could use our thoughts and prayers to keep up the good fight. Being the proud men and women that we are, let us not forget the sacrifices that were made to make this country what it is today. Quote for the month: "This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the one of the brave." Elmer Davis Happy Independence Day! Len Napoli – Sunshine Chairman
