As the Group CEO, and a 30 year veteran of the financial service industry, I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with senior bankers across the EMEA region and almost universally there is a growing concern about credit quality and process, and the increasing burden of regulations and accounting rules.

Basel and IFRS 9 are two of the primary issues facing banks today. IFRS 9 is not simply a change in loss recognition accounting, it will require banks to completely change their credit process and policies. From day one loan loss provisioning will take on a significantly greater role in initial credit decisions. The world of banking is changing, and bankers require the expertise of other bankers to adapt.

CRM was specifically designed to enhance and streamline the overall credit process by simplifying the client selection process through the use of Target Market / Risk Acceptance Criteria, provide cash-flow centric financial analysis capabilities, reduce credit application turn-around time through the effective use of dynamic work-flow processing and tracking, and provide both obligor (ORR) and portfolio (PRR) specific risk ratings and returns (RAROC and RORAC).

In addition, CRM delivers unparalleled Basel and IFRS 9 compliant portfolio reports. CRM is an easy-to-use user friendly web or in-house server based application which can be fully integrated into existing core banking systems.

INTEGRATION CRM™ is a fully integrated credit analysis, credit processing and reporting system. CRM™ can be fully integrated with existing core banking systems to ensure data integrity. CRM™ can provide business unit, country, region and / or group consolidated obligor and portfolio data.

CLIENT SELECTION & PRE-APPROVAL ANALYSIS The application’s in depth qualitative and quantitative analysis function enables banks to focus on the desired client base through clear Target Market and Risk Acceptance Criteria (TMRACs) specifically tailored to meet the institution’s balance sheet and P&L targets and portfolio risk objectives. Our unique Share-of-Wallet module optimizes obligor and portfolio risk – returns. The platform’s easy-to-use intuitive drop-down menus simplify the entire process while ensuring proper granularity and consistency.

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT The portfolio management function of CRM™ is specifically designed to meet Basel and IFRS 9 guidelines, both of which require consistent and regular monitoring and stress-testing. CRM™ incorporates multi-function stress-testing capabilities leveraging its FRR and ORR database.The module’s functionality enables RMs and Management to obtain both obligor and portfolio specific information needed to properly monitor performance RM and portfolio performance.ORRs, FRRs and RAROC/RORAC calculations enhance portfolio steering capabilities.

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS & CREDIT APPLICATION PROCESSING The application utilizes the initial financial and qualitative data to generate a bank tailored Credit Application (CA) complete with financial highlights, and analytical recommendations. The CA includes all obligor specific facilities details, thus enabling the generation of Facilities Risk Ratings (FRRs), ORRs (Obligor Risk Ratings) as well as Obligor and Portfolio RAROC and RORAC.By standardizing the entire CA process the bank can streamline and enhance credit operations.

MONITORING & REPORTING CRM™ can be configured to meet the specific needs of the institution using Credit Policy Automation, Comprehensive Reports, User-defined Scoring, Dynamic Approval Routing and End-to-End Credit Process Management.CRM™ is currently the only system which meets all Basel and IFRS 9 reporting requirements and generates the data and reports required by CFOs and CEOs to manage the bank’s capital adequacy pro-actively.The Repor t ing Plat form is a fu l ly automated solution which encompasses all regulatory activities and internal policy and procedures under one module.

Ramzi WatfaGroup CEO Ramzi is a veteran of the banking industry since 1983. He started his career in the City of London with the Royal Bank of Canada; later moved to its regional office in the UAE. Ramzi later joined Citibank in 1995, and left Citi to establish 6 Sigma Management Consultancy in 2002, having managed the business as Corporate Bank Head for the UAE, and earlier as a Corporate Finance Head for the country.

6 Sigma Management Consultancy then turned into 6 Sigma Financial Consultancy (DIFC) then into 6 Sigma Group, with offices in Dubai, Beirut, Jordan, Bucharest, and Istanbul. In 2016 it expanded into what it is today. The depth of coverage across several geographic locations has enabled the Group to provide Best in Class service, share in its experience, and provide cutting edge tools and systems to help banks develop into the challenging world of Basel and IFRS.

Peter VerhoevenExecutive Director Peter Verhoeven has over 35 years of experience across a broad spectrum of banking activities and geographies. His core strength lies in building successful businesses by growing the portfolio while reducing costs and the portfolio risk profile.Peter managed multiple country and regional restructurings and real ignments for KFH, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank and Deutsche Bank. Peter has extensive credit experience and was awarded an SCO Level 2 by Citibank.Peter’s expertise cover multiple geographies, including North America, Europe and the Far East.

Dr. Paul QuigleyManaging Director Dr. Paul Quigley has more than 35 years’ experience in banking and finance enabling him to work across a broad range of issues.Paul’s skills lie in Enterprise Risk Management; Validations for EAR, PDs and LGDs; Crisis management, and Scenario Planning; Corporate governance; Anti-Money laundering; Islamic finance; Senior level engagement with Banking Supervisors in Ireland, the UK, the US, Poland, Kuwait and Malaysia; Credit Rating Agencies and investor relations.

THE TEAM

Rudolf Demper Managing Director Rudolf brings with him extensive experience in Operational Management of financial institutions acquired with Citibank and others across corporate, investment and retai l banking business channels, including Audit, Operations, Business Support, Infrastructure and Program Management.

He achieved successfu l restructur ing of operations processes and support functions, working closely with the business, product management, finance and risk areas, and the creation of new legal entities, centralization and regionalization of functions, product re-design, implementation of core-banking or dedicated product system solutions, new infra-structure, the introduction of the EURO currency and IBAN in Europe.

Bassam Hayek Managing Director Bassam, a 30 years banker, has been involved with training in Athens, Istanbul and London for Cit igroup. He also had l ine management assignments in Treasury and Operations in Bahrain, F inancia l Control in New York, Market ing, Systems Management and IT Implementation in Greece, Kenya and Morocco, the management of the Operations group and the Middle Off ice Operat ions of the Globa l Derivatives desk in New York.

Bassam manages the group’s training arm providing quality training and consultancy services to the group’s clients.

Klaus Naderer Partner – Solid Ground AG Mr. Naderer is a consummate professional with many years of experience in various segments of financial services having worked for Citibank, Deutsche Bank and GE Leasing. 

Since leaving banking Mr. Naderer has built a ground-breaking business around financial adv isory and deve loping ent repreneur ia l enterprises.
