Samalkha Group of Institutions has organized a women empowerment workshop at Panchayat Bha-

van Hathwala village with the contribution made bywoman Sarpanch Mrs. Rubi Tyagi and Secretary

Mr. Amit Tyagi.

The students (Girl students) were addressed by Mrs. Preeti Dhingra (HOD, FOM). She addressed the

audience with importance of role of women in Education System and encouraged them with slogans

like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’.

The students were also addressed by woman delegate from Italy (Ms. Illaria) and student Priyanka.

Sh. Ajay Goyal (Chairman, SGI) and Dr. Manoj Kumar (Director, SGI) expressed deep gratitude to

the faculty members for their commendable efforts to this workshop on woman emancipation.

After the fun-filled day bonafire and dance was organized for the students. Students enjoyed a lot and

danced around the bonafire with full enthusiasm and ecstasy and the day ended on a happy note.

The next day started with a trekking from the camp to “Tiffen Top” which is one of the peak from

which there is a sceneric view of the city of lakes. The students photographed at the peak and trekked

back to the camp. Post lunch students visited the famous lake of Nanital and shopped in one of the

famous place “Mall Road”. Students visited other lakes and temples and the day came to an end with

campfire and dance party.

The students were very happy and travelled back next day. The trip aimed to give an opportunity to

the students for exploring the nature and to understand each other.

Students of B.TECH/MBA coordinated the tour under the guidance of Dr. Parveen Bhatt (HOD,

ASH), Ms. Saakshi (AP, ASH), Ms. Ritu (AP, FOM), Mr. Suraj (AP, AERO) and Mr. Sushil (AP,

CSE). Students learned and explored a lot during the complete tour. It was the much needed break for

the students to enjoy and explore the nature.
