Around St. Jude

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a special liturgy that takes place during the 11:00 Mass on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month. Chil-dren ages 4 – 5th grade are called forward before the Liturgy of the Word, given a blessing and then sent out to learn about the readings at their level. Children are escorted back to church in time for the offertory procession. We encourage you to bring your children to the 11:00 Mass so they can join in this special liturgy designed just for them! Up-coming dates: February 18, 25; March 11, 18, 25; April 8, 15, 22.

To help fill food boxes, St. Jude Church collects non-perishable, unexpired food items in anticipation of these needs at Eastertime. Barrels in the Gathering Space are available for this purpose. Food assistance before Easter may be requested by our parish members who need it and those living in zip codes 80226, 80227, 80228, and 80232. “A Lent to Remember” Parish-wide Study Join us for a 4-week video-based study featuring the Augustine Institute original productions Symbolon and Forgiven. “A Lent to Remember” is a beautiful presenta-tion of the transforming power of mercy in the Sacrament of Confession. Christian Service Committee Meets on the first Monday of every month in the church basement. We are responsible for our Food Basket Programs at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, as well as the Adopt-A-Family gift program at Christmas. The committee also sponsors a luncheon for the elderly in the Fall, a clothing drive in the Spring for The Action Center, and coordinates our 911 Assistance Program. Light of God Prayer Community meets Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. in the Lower Level of the Community Center focusing on

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Rosary Makers We meet every 2nd Monday of the month 9:00-10:00 am in the Community

Center Lower Level. All new comers are welcome and we will even teach you how to make rosaries (many different options).

Rosaries are sent to the military, missions in U.S. and foreign countries, nursing homes, hospitals. If interested stop by and

St. Francis Circle St. Francis Circle will meet on Saturday, March 10th from 9am–3pm in the CCLL. This is a great way to

get out of your winter slump! Join us as we stitch baby quilts for those in need. Come for all or part of the day. Potluck

lunch will be served around noon. New members are always welcome and there are many jobs to accomplish where sewing

experience is not necessary. We appreciate all the support we receive from St. Jude staff, our parishioners, and our members.

The Gabriel Project assists mothers and families in need during a pregnancy by promoting the sanctity of life. To make a

The Stephen Ministry program provides confidential one-on-one Catholic Christian care to individuals in the congregation who are experiencing difficulties in their lives such as grief, death of a loved one, illness, divorce, financial difficulties and

Wednesday Morning bible Study will begin by studying The Gospel of Mark on Jan 17th from 9-10:30am in the Lower

Level of the Community Center every Wednesday until Easter. A book is needed for this series. For more info call 303-233-3372.

Sacraments Baptisms of children are regularly scheduled each month. A pre-baptismal session is required for parents & godparents. Please call the office at 303-988-6435 before or after the child's birth, before you choose godparents.

Adult Baptism is part of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). For information, please call Deacon Mike at 303-988-6435 x16.

Marriage: Those who wish to be married at St. Jude Church must be registered in the parish for at least one year. Sons and daughters of registered parishioners may also be married here. A 12-month preparation period is required. Please call the office at 303-988-6435.

Anointing of the Sick: In the case of serious illness in the family, please call the office immediately at 303-988-6435. Do not wait until death is imminent. During hours when the office is closed, you will be directed to the emergency line.
