At openings place ties at 225mm away from edge and at no more than 300mm horizontally. Continuous DPC is to be a minimum of 150mm above ground level. Timber / MDF skirting to clients specification. 70.2 DPCs: Horizontal - continuous lengths on full even bed of fresh mortar, 100mm laps at joints and full laps at angles. Full Even bed of mortar to receive next masonry course. Joints with DPMs to be continuous and effectively sealed. Vertical - form in one piece where possible. Joints to have 100mm upper part overlapping lower. Jambs - Full underlap joints with cavity trays/lintel at head. Full overlap joints with sill/horizontal DPC at base.
