RONKE AROGUNDADE - BOARD GAMES FROM WEST AFRICA

Maria Panou from Greece will host a creative workshop for children. The theme willbe on mythology and she will work on designing masks and rehearsing a play to beperformed on Thursday 5th June for an open audience and parents.

MYTHOLOGY DANCE AND CRAFTS

African Sounds is a dynamic workshop that explores the drumsand rhythms of West Africa. Participants will enjoy a demonstrationof traditional African drumming on djembe, dununba and kenkeni(goatskin, cowhide and carved wood drums of the Mandinkapeople as well as other drums from around the region such asboogaraboo, saoruba, sangban and ntama (talking drum)).“

AFRICAN SOUNDS - WALTONS SCHOOL OF MUSIC

Presentation of prizes will be made by the Mayor of South Dublin County Council to the winners of thetwo competitions which were held in primary schools in the area earlier this year. Twelve schools enteredto name the festival and to create a festival image. The winning entries and runners up will be displayedin the Library for the week of Ruaille Buaille! Lots of fun, jugglers, goody bags and more!

Ailbí has been left all alone after the big storm, until aflower begins to grow and Ailbí decides to embark onher quest to find beauty.
