She was the wife of the late Chester Horner; loving mother of John (Irene) Horner; Rich (Terry) Horner, Betty Jo (Frank) Sturm and Robert (Janine) Horner; grand-mother of nine grandchil-dren; sister of Ellen De-necke, Daniel Strong and late Catherine Sheehan, Marg Kelly and William Strong. Arrangements were made by Wentland Funeral Home, North Collins.

RICHARD J.O’BOYLE III

A Memorial Service was held on August 25, 2012 at The Our Lady of Victory Basilica in Lackawana for Richard J. O’Boyle III, formerly of North Collins who died August 15th at age 71. Richard is sur-vived by his son Richard (Shana) O’Boyle and 2 grandcildren all of Lodi, California. He was the son of the late Richard “Dick” O’Boyle and Pa-tricia (Phillips) O’Boyle of North Collins; brother of Patricia (Vincent) Barry of Lackawanna, Jeanette (Norman) Schwendler of Hamburg, Michael (Nan-cy) O’Boyle of Hamburg, Thomas (Marie) O’Boyle of North Collins, Virgin-ia (Steven) Schilling of Farnham, Gary (Suzanne) O’Boyle of Cheektowaga, Eileen Doyle of Lancaster, and Robin Watson of West Seneca. Born in Lacka-wana, Rick and his then small family moved to North Collins in 1956. A 1959 graduate of North Collins Central School en-listed in the service shortly after graduation. He was stationed in Hawaii, and was honored in 1961 as Military Police Soldier of the year. After his military service, Dick returned to North Collins for a couple of years working as a car salesman, but his heart was still in Hawaii where he returned to the island of Kauai and became a successful real estate agent until retiring in 2002, when he moved to Sacramento, CA to be closer to his son and grandchildren.

The 1860’s steam engine complete with passenger cars and caboose will leave the old train depot at 8600 Depot Street and head north through the farm land crossing the beautiful 18 Mile Creek on the old original train tressel reversing direc-tion at the Hamburg/Eden town line.
