Prelude Music: Offer by: GK
Welcome & Announcements - (Theme Slide) leader: PR & PH & NM
Processional Hymn Title: "The Church's One Foundation" 644, Stanzas: 1,2,5
The Church’s one foundation is Jesus Christ, her Lord;
She is His new creation by water and the Word.
From heav’n He came and sought her to be His holy bride;
With His own blood He bought her, and for her life He died.
Elect from ev’ry nation, yet one o’er all the earth;
Her charter of salvation: one Lord, one faith, one birth.
One holy name she blesses, partakes one holy food,
And to one hope she presses with ev’ry grace endued.
Yet she on earth has union with God, the Three in One,
And mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won.
O blessed heav’nly chorus! Lord, save us by Your grace,
That we, like saints before us, may see You face to face.
Invocation: leader: PH
LEADER: In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit.
PEOPLE: Amen.
Confession LSB Pg: 151
LEADER: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
PEOPLE: But if we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive our sins and
cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
(Silence for reflection on God's Word and for self-examination.)
LEADER: Let us then confess our sins to God our Father.
PEOPLE: Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have
sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have
left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors
as ourselves. We justly deserve Your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of Your
Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may de-
light in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
Absolution LSB 151:
LEADER: In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus Christ was given to die for us, and for His
sake God forgives us all our sins. To those who believe in Jesus Christ He gives the power
to become the children of God and bestows on them the Holy Spirit. May the Lord, who has
begun this good work in us, bring it to completion in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
PEOPLE: Amen.
Sharing the Peace - (Special Slide) Leader: PH
Having confessed our sins and heard God’s forgiveness, let us greet one another in these
words, “Peace be with you.”
Hymn of Praise "This is the Feast" LSB 155
REFRAIN: This is the feast of victory for our God. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
Worthy is Christ, the Lamb who was slain, Whose blood set us free to be people of God.
(Refrain)
Power, riches, wisdom and strength, And honor, blessing, and glory are His. (Refrain)
Sing with all the people of God, And join in the hymn of all creation:
Blessing, honor, glory, and might Be to God and the Lamb forever. Amen. (Refrain)
For the Lamb who was slain has begun His reign. Alleluia. (Refrain)
Salutation and Collect of the Day: pg.156 Leader: PH
LEADER: The Lord be with you.
PEOPLE: And also with you.
LEADER: Let us pray: O God, You make the minds of Your faithful to be of one will.
Grant that we may love what You have commanded and desire what You promise, that
among the many changes of this world our hearts may be fixed where true joys are found;
through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spir-
it, one God, now and forever.
PEOPLE: Amen.
OLD TESTAMENT READING Text: Deut. 10:12-15 ESV p. 155
Reader: Debbie Pahl
[12] "And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord
your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your
heart and with all your soul, [13] and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord,
which I am commanding you today for your good? [14] Behold, to the Lord your God be-
long heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it. [15] Yet the Lord set
his heart in love on your fathers and chose their offspring after them, you above all peoples,
as you are this day. ...This is the Word of the Lord.
PEOPLE: Thanks be to God.
Epistle Text: 3 John 1-4 ESV p. 1026 Reader:
Debbie Pahl
[1] The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth. [2] Beloved, I pray that all may go
well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. [3] For I
rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walk-
ing in the truth. [4] I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the
truth. ...This is the Word of the Lord.
PEOPLE: Thanks be to God.
Alleluia and Verse pg.156
Alleluia, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Alleluia, alleluia.
Announcement of Gospel Leader: PH
LEADER: The Holy Gospel according to St. John, the 15th chapter.
PEOPLE: Glory to You, O Lord.
Holy Gospel Text: John 15:1-11 ESV pp. 901-902
READER: Nick Moss
[1] "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. [2] Every branch of mine that does
not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may
bear more fruit. [3] Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. [4]
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the
vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. [5] I am the vine; you are the branches. Who-
ever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do
nothing. [6] If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers;
and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. [7] If you abide in me, and
my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. [8] By this my
Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. [9] As the Fa-
ther has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. [10] If you keep my command-
ments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide
in his love. [11] These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your
joy may be full. ...This is the Gospel of the Lord.
PEOPLE: Praise to You, O Christ.
Children's Church leader: NM
Hymn of the Day “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us” MSPW 3 #137 - Piano Vs. 1-3
How deep the Father’s love for us, How vast beyond all measure;
That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss, The Father turns His face away’
As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory.
Behold the Man upon a cross, My sin upon His shoulders;
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Him there Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life I know that it is finished.
I will not boast in anything, No gifts, no pow’r, no wisdom;
But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer.
But this I know with all my heart: His wounds have paid my ransom.

—“What Is This Bread”(629)
What is this bread? Christ’s body risen from the dead: This bread we break, this life we
take,
Was crushed to pay for our release. O taste and see the Lord is peace.
What is this wine? The blood of Jesus shed for mine; The cup of grace brings His embrace
Of life and love until I sing! O taste and see the Lord is King.
So who am I, that I should live and He should die Under the rod? My God, my God,
Why have You not forsaken me? O taste and see the Lord is free.
Yet is God here? Oh, yes! By Word and promise clear, In mouth and soul He makes us
whole
Christ, truly present in this meal. O taste and see the Lord is real.
Is this for me? I am forgiven and set free! I do believe that I receive
His very body and His blood. O taste and see the Lord is good.
—“Praise the Father” led by Adult Choir
O sov’reign God, O matchless King The saints adore, the angels sing
And fall before the throne of grace; To You belongs the highest praise.
These sufferings, this passing tide Under Your wings I will abide,
And ev’ry enemy shall flee; You are my hope and victory.
Praise the Father, Praise the Son. Praise the Spirit, Three in One.
Clothed in power and in grace, The Name above all other names.
To the valley, for my soul; Thy great descent has made me whole!
Your Word my heart has welcomed home; Now peace like water ever flows.
Praise the Father, Praise the Son. Praise the Spirit, Three in One.
Clothed in power and in grace, The Name above all other names. (repeat)
Yours is the kingdom, Yours is the power, Yours is the glory forever! (repeat)
Praise the Father, Praise the Son. Praise the Spirit, Three in One.
Clothed in power and in grace, The Name above all other names. The Name above all other
names.

Go, My children, with My blessing, never alone.
Waking, sleeping, I am with you; you are My own.
In My love’s baptismal river I have made you Mine forever.
Go, My children, with My blessing you are My own.
Go, My children, sins forgiven, at peace and pure.
Here you learned how much I love you, what I can cure.
Here you heard My dear Son’s story; here you touched Him, saw His glory.
Go, My children, sins forgiven, at peace and pure.
