a model for contextual leadership: a path towards empowerment
DESCRIPTION
The Contextual Leadership Model (CLM) represents the sum total of my life's work. It is a model for leadership that seeks to increase psychological empowerment within contexts using it. The CLM is built on two assumptions: 1) That members of a context are respectful of all personalities within the context and that all members of the context share in goal definition; and, 2) That people who fill roles within a context are aware of their relationship with their respective role. I hope you find the CLM useful.TRANSCRIPT

Goal Task Enters Context
If any individual is not “situated,” then he or she must gain the skills needed to become capable within the role and find his or her own personal meaning within the role.
People are “situated” within their roles if they believe themselves competent within the role and find meaning/value within the role.
Cancelling a goal task should be a rare exception because, if goals were created mutually by all members of a respective context, there should be few reasons a goal task cannot be completed.
