Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time July 15, 2018

JMJ July 15, 2018

My Dearest Parish Family, God be with us always. Heartfelt thanks to the generous and kind hearts who have shared of themselves to support Fr. Marc Boisvert’s ministry in Haiti last Saturday and Sunday. This weekend we are however given the opportunity to be involved in a special way with the apostolate of Cross Catholic Outreach in many developing countries in different continents. Fr. Pascal Kumanda will be speaking in all the Masses and there will also be a table outside for people who are interested to be involved in their work. Activities that are meant to mark our road to our 40th Anniversary as a Parish are in full swing. Gratitude to those who have signed up and had their portrait taken by Life Touch for the Commemorative Book and New Parish Photo Directory. We shall be launching too our Interactive Historical Timeline Boards in the Parish Hall – be on the lookout for how you can actively participate in this. Our summer activities are also unfolding one by one: our Backyard Theology has already began and will continue for the next few Mondays. There are still several topics that will be presented in the three weeks to come. The topics are presented at every Mass through the overhead projection and through the Announcements made by the Presider. We have more than 500 participants registered in our “Camino: Along the Way 2018” which will be held on July 28th. Registration is still ongoing – we are making the invitation for those who may not be able to walk but can participate in our “Camino: Along the Way” by being the Prayer Warriors who will go through the stations in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. We are in need of more volunteers to be Group Leaders/Captains and Station Managers to ensure the success of this celebration of our Patron Saint. Aside from being registered in the Camino one has to attend the Pre-Camino Walk on the 21st which begins with a Mass at 6:30 am then the walk at 7:00. VBS Registration is still on-going as well as donations for those who would like to help and support this activity for our young. We also have two more opportunities to have our

boys and teenage young men trained in Altar Serving please do consult this bulletin in the next few weeks. The Appreciation Lunch for our youth volunteers was held Saturday July 14th. The Gospel this weekend reminds us how God has give us the task of reaching out to others and proclaiming the Good News of God’s unconditional love. We are also responsible to strengthen and motivate each other to continue in our life of service for others. May we indeed be the hands of Christ, the feet that travel to bring hope and hearts that strive to love as our Lord Jesus Loved. God bless and take care. Love and prayers,

Fr.

Padre Thomas Paul K. Naval
