And one of those original London Palladium and BBC TV Stars is jetting down under to join Encore Theatre Company’s all-new 2020 production of ‘ALLO ‘ALLO! Sue Hodge is heading to Tasmania to reprise her iconic TV and stage role as Mimi, joining our wonderful team headed up by Ross Marsden as René. A full cast announcement will follow soon. Edith, Michelle, Herr Flick, Helga, Yvette, LeClerc and the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies are all there, conveniently speaking English with peculiar accents. From the team that brought you Fawlty Towers, The Vicar of Dibley and Are You Being Served?, Director Jamie Hillard has assembled a cracker of a team to ensure a riotous first-class night at the theatre. GREASE & SPARKLE

Last May, Encore were invited to be a part of the Clifford Craig Foundation GREASE Is The Word Ball at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, and we had a huge amount of fun putting together what we thought would be a one-off performance. However, we couldn’t resist the invitation from Sophie Enniss to take to the Country Club Resort stage and join other local artists/performers to create a magical night of entertainment in the Showroom. All profits from the event go to Cancer Council Tasmania through the registered Relay for Life Team, The Groovers. To date, The Groovers have raised over $100,000 in the past decade for the Cancer Council Tasmania are have no intention of slowing down in their efforts to put an end to cancer. So once again our Greasers will come together, led by Tarrant Edwards and Chelsea Dean and choreographed by Lisa Trinick. See you there for Shake, Sparkle, Shave 2019 on Saturday 12 October from 7pm.
