• May State Budget Revision– $16 Billion short fall– $8 million make up with proposed tax increase– $8 Billion with cuts other than higher education

• UC Funding in May Revision– $52 million increase over current year funding– $250 million cut for shortfall trigger– $1 Billion cut out of $3 Billion over last 4 years

• Regents have not taken a position

• President Yudof personally supports– Doesn’t believe that it is without risk– Doesn’t support the trigger
