IMI CCI PRDS ValvesThe superior PRDS technology combines the dual functions of pressure reduction and desuperheating in one valve body. We offer various types of the PRDS to accomodate free valve selection that corresponds to various applications and piping layout.

Features PRDSClose control of pressure and temperature: Flexible plant systemisation and good conditioned steam will save energy and reduce cost in your control system.

Piping arrangement simplified: Reduces components, shortens pipeline and eliminates auxiliary steam line saving energy and cost.

Easy maintenance: Fewer components and a virtually wear-free valve seat and plug extend maintenance intervals.

Environment improved: Noise generated may be attenuated and valve vibration is eliminated to ensure safe operation and a quieter environment.

Superior RangeabilitySuperior rangeability is required under today’s extreme operating conditions. Turbine bypass applications operate at both start-up and full plant load scenarios. PRDS is designed for full load needs special consideration for minimum flow conditions to ensure proper atomisation.

Steam assisted atomisation provides for small particle formations at low flows. Utilisation of a small percentage of the main steam allows droplet formations at low pressures of 50 to 150 microns. Traditional designs utilise the dP low pressures which can result in droplet size ranging from 150 to 1000 microns.

Advanced TechnologyComputer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) are utilised by IMI CCI engineers in product design.

Coupled with IMI CCI’s long experience with specific applications, this results in products that meet and exceed user’s requirements.

Auto-manual switch valve: We can select, auto, manual open, manual position lock, manual close.

Hand pump lever: To open or close cylinder by rotating this hand pump after setting auto-manual switch valve.

IMI CCI’s new drive unit does not have a large hand wheel. Manual operation of the new drive unit is done by auto-manual switch valve and hand pump.

By removing the hand wheel, we are able to save space for installation.
