What is AIDC

Automatic identification and data capture is a process for identifying entities and processes using machine readable methods.

Typically the only things a human has to do in order to get the data to the computer system include: scanning a barcode, swiping a card, using their fingerprint, voice or retina, or any other form of identification to uniquely identify an object.
